• Logitech Controller Trigger Sensitivity

So I've got a Logitech F710 which I use as a controller and as a mouse I can use from the couch, but the right trigger is starting to get a little jittery. If I view the calibration settings I can see the right trigger meter twitching occasionally even when the controller isn't being touched. It seems to come and go with use of the trigger, and isn't a massive problem except for in a few games where my character goes on pointless shooting sprees without my input. So what I need is either a way to permanently lower the trigger threshold so the jittering isn't picked up as a trigger pull, or stop the damn twitching altogether. Has anyone else had similar problems? Am I shit out of luck?
Hardware wise-- I don't know. Software wise you just need to increase the deadzone of the controller. In Linux you can globally change dead zones by editing some driver configs, but in windows I'm unsure.
My lazy side was hoping someone would just tell me to throw it in the freezer for an hour or hold it in the shadow cast by a virgin in the light of a full moon, but in my heart I know it would come down to fiddling with driver settings. Thanks for the suggestion.
