Miraculously, no one was injured and Tuff is being hailed as a hero for possibly saving the lives of more than 800 students at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy. The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Michael Brandon Hill, walked into the elementary school's office with an assault rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, DeKalb County officials told the press Wednesday.

"He told me he was sorry for what he was doing. He was willing to die," Tuff said. She remembered him loading his gun in front of her and the rest of the staff.
All part of a day's work. There's a video in the source.
Just watch, this'll get politicized within a couple days.
damnit she is so lucky she got the chance to become a hero, boy what i wouldnt give for that same chance...
I wonder what the shooter's motivation was? He didn't seem 100% about what he was doing, since he said "sorry" and put down his arms.

The perks of leveling up your Speech skill.
I bet he played video games they should just ban then already.
I doubt she "saved the lives of over 800 students", because the chances of a single man walking into a huge school and killing everyone is pretty slim.
I bet he played video games they should just ban then already.
I bet that he also ate bread. Studies show that every criminal eats bread. Corrupt politicians eat bread too. I wonder why bread hasn't been illegalized yet. The way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a book.
The way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a book.
Especially when the good guy isn't even a guy.
I bet he played video games they should just ban then already.
But what if the bookkeeper is a major league videogame player?
I swear this was already posted... :/ It's an amazing resolution, none-the-less.
From what's going around... The guy was a convicted felon, and was apparently trying to start a gunfight with the Police.
Maybe he wanted to try suicide by cop (shooting up a school is a pretty good way to get shot), but had a change of heart at the last second?
She clearly had the dominator skill from the mastermind skill tree
She clearly had the dominator skill from the mastermind skill tree
No, because she would have had to punch him in the face first
The way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a book.
The calculator is mightier than the assault rifle.
I swear this was already posted... :/ It's an amazing resolution, none-the-less.
http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1300600 I guess that the story was already covered in some fashion! I was looking for the wrong keywords, I guess. Still, this is new information, so I guess I didn't totally bork the books.
looks like she was tuff e nuff
Hey guys, someone finally stopped a school shooter like a true american hero! Guess what they didn't use? A gun Hmmm.
Hey guys, someone finally stopped a school shooter like a true american hero! Guess what they didn't use? A gun Hmmm.
if only the bookkeeper had a gun then someone (50% chance her) would've been shot and i could jerk off about how many lives that gun had saved
I wonder what the shooter's motivation was? He didn't seem 100% about what he was doing, since he said "sorry" and put down his arms.
Probably in extreme mental distress and wanted to commit suicide by cops. You're not in any lucid state of mind at that point and well, shit gets weird and you do stuff that makes logical sense or carries any discernible pattern, raving mad one second, apologetic and remorseful the next.
Hey guys, someone finally stopped a schoolshooter like a true american hero! Guess what they didn't use? A gun Hmmm.
Yes, because every school shooter has always been so easily persuadable.
I wonder what the shooter's motivation was? He didn't seem 100% about what he was doing, since he said "sorry" and put down his arms.
Probably depression, probably thought there was no way out of being miserable, it didn't seem like he wanted to hurt anyone at all, just to find a reason to die. I'm so glad to hear that he completely thought it through and decided to stop before it was far too late.
