Robbie Brady's dramatic late winner sank Italy and sent the Republic of Ireland into the last 16 of Euro 2016.
Martin O'Neill's side knew only a victory would secure a place in the knockout stage in France but had failed to find a way through the Azzurri's defence until Brady headed home Wes Hoolahan's cross in the 85th minute.
The dream's still alive! Not sure how many on this forum would be following the Euros but I feel it's news worthy as both Irish teams were absolute underdogs from the start. :joy:
I wasn't too much interested in this Euro but some good stuff has been happening, is it finally the year one of the sharks doesn't win? We'll see.
Russia getting destroyed and knocked out of the tournament by Wales was my fav part so far
Brady can get any woman in Ireland right now. They played really well and completely deserved going through.
Don't think Brady will ever need to buy a pint in Ireland again. They'll probably just give him the Guinness storehouse

Spain being all cocky as shit then getting BTFO'd by Croatia, or Ronaldo almost getting knocked the fuck down by Hungary are equally hilarious, imo. :v:
Surprised as hell that in what little of the match I bothered to watch that nothing was done about any of the shit the Italian players were doing. The fellas on ITV at half time were all for it. It's a bloody disgrace. Regardless I am both surprised and delighted we still got through. France will be a tough one and we've had a bad run in with them already. Come on you boys in green as the rest of the country says.
