It's not so much AMD/Nvidia, it's more the VRAM manufactures that need to catch up.
It's not so much the VRAM manufactures that need to catch up but the CRYPTO CUCKS that need to stop hoarding all the GPUs
Fixed. Edit: Watch this post for "dumb" ratings to find who's a miner or cryptocuckold lover.
Fixed.
xD great one The price rise of these things was bound to happen due to the mobile market taking most of the memory production. Having a 2nd market created for GPUs just sped up the process.
"Nividia"
It's not so much AMD/Nvidia, it's more the VRAM manufactures that need to catch up.
I dunno, Nvidia specifically excluded miners from their new policy banning GeForce cards from datacenter use so they're far from innocent.

I remember the presentation at least. Perhaps they're trying to keep cards back with consumers, and actually focus more server hardware for data centres. Can't call myself an expert though

I love you all you are the greatest [editline]10th February 2018[/editline] God I hope they create a market just for mining GPU's
It would be interesting to see as mining is mainly memory intensive so you could do away with all the display I/O and have a cut down GPU with good memory. Something like a 10 CU Vega with 4-8GB HBM2. [editline]10th February 2018[/editline] Then again you've also got algorithms that love CUDA cores so it's hard to balance.
they have cards made specifically for mining already, but nobody buys them because they're fuck-all expensive compared to consumer cards. people trying to make money off of mining aren't gonna spend an extra half grand just for a card with marginally better vram and no display output

Why buy cards that almost nobody will buy used when you can buy actual consumer GPU's that have resale value so you can make your money back after you panic sell and offload your mining rigs
well of course they are, they want to sell more GPUs and make more money how is this friendly?
well of course they are, they want to sell more GPUs and make more money how is this friendly?
they're already making bucketloads regardless of scalping and mining dipshits, this is them talking about making sure people actually using them for gaming get them
Eh if Bitcoin keeps plumeting as people dump it miners will start dropping off as well
Just make GPUs dedicated to cryptocurrency and promote as "Bitcoin friendly!" or something. Much like the difference between a men's and ladies' razor.
They already do that and nobody cares.
They already do that and nobody cares.
Probably because they're betting it'll rise again, or betting on whatever currency they're mining to rise again.
No it's because they can sell normal cards back to gamers when they're done with them and make money back. Mining cards have no video output.
