You can't deny it, legalizing slavery would fix the unemployment problem real quick like. People don't need arbitrary freedoms like the freedom to gay marriage, driving an automobile or listening to a particular type of music. Humans need hard work and without it they deteriorate mentally and physically. Legalizing slavery would make life much better. People want work.
I know it may sound harsh, but think of this in a very utilitarian perspective of creating the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people. If we even only forced a minority of our populations into slavery, everyone else's lives for the most part would be better as a whole. Yeah, some people will get fucked over, but hasn't that always happened?
We may very well not be able to support our extravagant and wasteful lifestyles in the near future when theres this many developing countries out there consuming more and more of our resources. Would you really complain about slavery if it were the only thing left supporting your current lifestyle?
Slavery can actually do more good than harm. Why pay a Pakistani kid 6 cents an hour to sew together soccerballs when you can take him home as a slave and give him better shelter than he could have ever afforded?
thoughts?

No.
This violates human rights and is completely unethical.
No need. We already have the Chinese/Mexicans/Africans e.t.c.
So like Roman slavery but with less slaves?
What the fuck is wrong with you?
No.

Human rights are violated with our current system and hows it exactly unethical? How about cultural relativism, it wasn't always unethical. Like I've said before slavery can actually do more good than harm. Why pay a Pakistani kid 6 cents an hour to sew together soccerballs when you can take him home as a slave and give him better shelter than he could have ever afforded?
I thought you were better than this Spork.
How dare you use utalitarism to justify slavery.
No need. We already have the Chinese/Mexicans/Africans e.t.c.
They do all the jobs Americans don't want to do anyway.

What about the people who aren't the slaves? They will eventually be too reliant on slavery to the point where they refuse to work.
Please tell me you are joking :sigh:

Yes, because forcing people to work for little or no pay is a really good thing for Human Society!
Who would want to be a slave?
There's your problem.
There was a reason we had the Civil War.
There was a reason we had the Civil War.
And that reason was many things besides slavery, what's your point
Humans need hard work and without it they deteriorate mentally and physically. Legalizing slavery would make life much better. People want work.
But the slave owners would then not be working (because they have slaves) so wouldn't they deteriorate?
uh
Lets look at it this way:
OP, you are now my sex slave.
Spread your anus or I slice your throat.
How do you feel?
And that reason was many things besides slavery, what's your point
Yeah it was clearly fought over state's rights (to own slaves)
There was a reason we had the Civil War.
And it wasn't because of slavery being unethical.
Also why use humans for slavery? Soon we can get robots to take their place in physical labor (and then the Terminator movies begin).

Jealous
Oh you weren't talking to me nvm
Domination fetish
Nobody has the right to own another human being. The fuck is wrong with you?
OP is just doing this because gold member revocation doesn't exist anymore
we should fix gambling addictions by making a national lottery where if you win you get 1,000,000 dollars, but one person loses every time and is put into slavery every time.
But the slave owners would then not be working (because they have slaves) so wouldn't they deteriorate?
Not to mention it would respark racism to a whole new scale considering the chances of the slaves belonging to a specific race are high. You know for a fact that it would be Mexican slaves that would be doing most the work in the south. As if there wasn't enough racism already, we don't need them to be deteriorated to property.
But the slave owners would then not be working (because they have slaves) so wouldn't they deteriorate?
slave owners would be offered to the opportunity to pursue intellectual pursuits or do meaningful work.

Mexicans in some senses are already our slaves because of the capitalistic system. Why pay them shitty wages so they can live in slums when they can serve us in proper shelter?
Holy shit what have you done OP.
i thought we evolved beyond this
I've seen a lot of stupid things on this site but never anything this horrendously retarded. No, legalizing slavery would not be okay because it violates human rights and places monetary value on human beings.
