I am looking to purchase an airsoft gun on Evike. I have narrowed it down to two guns sniper http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=27712 or an MP5 AEG http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_44_222&products_id=28373. I had decided on the MP5 but the ETA changed from last Monday to a month from now a week AFTER I ordered my gun. Now Evike is being reasonable and allowing me to change my purchase. However, I really would like this MP5 but don't think I have the patience to wait a month. So let's imagine you where in my shoes what would you do?

The mp5 is probably better. It depends what field you play at and how you yourself play. Next time, post this question in the general question thread.
1: Don't buy from Evike 2: Go here http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=866476
I have had no problems with evike, there are better but evike is a suitable retailer, especially for CONUS
Lots of people in this section have had problems with Evike before. Just passing on the message.
It just seems that when people have problems with evike that they're a lot more vocal about it than people who have no difficulties. I like evike and would refer them to friends, along with AEX and ASGI. I've airsofted with their faculty multiple times and they sponsor most of the OPs and Fields in the los angeles area. [editline]01:39AM[/editline] make sure to pay attention though to all the descriptions of their products and return policies to make sure you don't do anything to void a warranty or something.

that thread should just be stickied....
Asgi is better though.
Evike isn't that bad. I just put my third order in with them last week and it's been shipped out fairly quickly. I'll see later this week if they got it right. But between the 2 guns, I'd stick with the MP5 or a similar AEG. I've handled one of those UTG L96's and I wasn't impressed. Either go with a JG BAR 10 for sniping, or stick with an AEG.
The MP5 should work out but if you have a more open field you may want a bigger gun for shooting longer ranges.
I haven't had problems with Evike at all, but the website kind of scares me.
that thread should just be stickied....
Postal once told me - "the moment a thread is stickied it's instanty ignored" I agree with him.
at the time of him posting this thread the newbies discussion thread was so far down you had to scroll to see it
Correction on my statement on Evike. I just got an email from them saying my package was only partially shipped. The only item that was on back order is the TM Tracer Unit. So WTF am I suppose to do with 2 5000ct bag of tracer bbs without the tracer unit? I checked Evike's site to see if the tracer unit was labeled as "Out of Stock". Nope, sure enough it's still there, so there's no mention of an ETA like other out of stock products. I mean the least they could have done is ask me if I still wanted the bbs before they shipped the order. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that if a tracer unit and tracer bbs are in the same order then the buyer has neither. I'll be emailing them back asking for an ETA. If I get a crappy response, they're going to lose some points in my book.
A buddy of mine used to shop evike all the time, bought well over 1000 bucks worth of stuff. But after having items not ship, having the wrong items shipped, and service telling him to fuck off, he refuses to buy from them ever again. My suggestion, go for the MP5 because it will be more useful in more scenarios.
I just got my ASGI package today in the mail, and one of the products was a backorder, just like Ender. It wasn't labeled as out of stock, either.
Evike just fucks up way too much, and act like assholes when they get called out about it. I've had GREAT experience with ASGI And Airsoft Atlanta. I like ASATL.
ASGI is having low stocks and has a out of stock next to many products, luckly it states that they will inform you before the shipment on the # of stock left and will ask if you want to back order it or not.
