Grooveshark.com is probably one of the coolest websites I've come across in a very long time.

Grooveshark is essentially a streaming iTunes library which you can access anywhere while incorporating the functions of Pandora where you give an artist or song and it will find songs similar to them to create an infinite playlist of songs you'll probably like. It's completely legal and has quite an impressive interface. They pride themselves on building the entire thing on Adobe Air which can be used on any operating system and most mobile devices.
I made this thread as a means to share this nifty program with music lovers everywhere. I've personally been addicted to it since I started using it a few days ago. I hope this was a worthy recommendation for the people of facepunch.
Have fun!
Mhmm, Know if it can be used on iPhones?
True, found this site few weeks ago.
When searching for songs, i'd suggest Grooveshark, although no video
It's pretty cool, but I prefer spotify.
Groovesharks been around for almost a year. Y'all are late

So it is better than Pandora or the same thing.

Only if it's jailbroken.

What is the repo?

Search Grooveshark. It's on like BigBoss or one of the ones Cydia ships with.
HOWEVER, you will need to buy VIP to use it on your phone. ($3/month)
Oh shit, it has the full version of A Rainbow in Curved Air. I can never find that streaming.

Ugh, just like spotify. Makes me angry.
As someone said before, I prefer spotify. But grooveshark is pretty good actually, when you don't have spotify availible.
Just FYI grooveshark is not official. They don't own rights to any of the songs. All of them are submitted by users.
I discovered it after Playlist.com got smacked down by some legal issues (I assume. Don't quote me on that.) and I love the site, have it open at all times when I'm on the internet.

Since 2007, but thats what you meant right?
I knew about this, because my school didn't block it.
Till the end of the year...
Hmmm says spotify isn't available in my country.
I used to use it for stuff that wasn't on Spotify (Bob Dylan, John Lennon's solo work, for example), but they've started pulling a lot of stuff off.
Dylan's still on, but a lot of others aren't, so I've stopped using it.
Ive been using it for two years...
Dude this shit is wicked. How do you make it fnd songs for you?

Wow, never knew about this site. Seems awesome. I dont care about video really, so yeah. :D
They should make a program or media player, I keep closing the window with the music :bang:
Love this audio streaming site. High quality shit all around, and their employees are amazingly awesome.
I love grooveshark, I've been using it for quite a while.
I will be using this forever.
What's the stream bandwidth? I have been listening for a while, and it doesn't sound very good to me.
This reminds me, what happened to Muxdos? Wasn't it suppose to be up and running by May?
I like it, has a easy to use interface. Thank you for sharing!
Does it have adverts or anything, like spotify does?
