There's going to be a sequel to HR?! Fuck yessss
there already was a sequel it's called:
This better be real. HR was a bloody awesome game, totally worthy of the Deus Ex name. Maybe this time Adam Jensen will go up against the first nanomachine augmented agents?
This video has been removed by the user.
What a shame...
Wait, which ending was canon again [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] [sp]I always thought it was him blowing the platform up, no?[/sp]
I take it the same way it ended with hl1 where if you didn't accept the gman's offer and step into the teleport, that was that. So they based hl2 on the assumption you did.

That said however, I thought the first nano-augmented agents only cropped up in 2050 around the original Deus Ex? Or are we talking about the Men in Black who're supposed to be some strange "missing link" between mechanical augs and nano-augs? I think they called it physiopharmaceutical augmentation or something? Also, strange as it may be, if they ever did a remake of the original, would it be too outlandish for JC to encounter an aged Adam Jensen or would that just be fanwank by that point? Also also I just saw the video and my balls cannot contain themselves. Still, I must try, since I gotta reserve judgement for when I see gameplay footage and resist hype in case you have to eat a candy bar to initiate a canned takedown animation. I want proper melee this time around, gaddangit.

Human Revolution in my opinion had some of the most atmospheric and immersive game environments I've ever experienced
Wait, which ending was canon again [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] [sp]I always thought it was him blowing the platform up, no?[/sp]
none of them. they're basing it on an ending that wasn't one of the 4 choices.
there already was a sequel it's called:
actually, the correct term for this would be "shitstain" or "turd burglar"
there already was a sequel it's called:
Given that's unrelated to the HR storyline no, not really. It could have been so much better had they actually followed on from the book correctly and kept the same characterization.
I'M READY. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW READY I AM.
Human Revolution in my opinion had some of the most atmospheric and immersive game environments I've ever experienced
Really though, it's environments were so well done... and the soundtrack was just a godly pair with the maps. I need to go replay it now.
I never even beat HR because I got so pissed off at the first major boss. Some of the worst design decisions of any boss battle I've played, in any game. I got the Director's Cut in the Square Enix pack a while back, just have to uninstall the original and reinstall DE:HR:DC to give it a second run.
Human Revolution in my opinion had some of the most atmospheric and immersive game environments I've ever experienced
In my perfect world, a huge Deus Ex fan would own a night club and turn it into a real life The Hive. It'd be so cool [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] Hell, just give me the money, I promise you I'll re-create The Hive irl :v:
Hyped.
I asked for this.
Lets hope they don't fuck up the boss battles this time
Wait, which ending was canon again [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] [sp]I always thought it was him blowing the platform up, no?[/sp]
according to what i read none of the HR Endings are canon
according to what i read none of the HR Endings are canon
So I guess they decided those endings were shit then
there already was a sequel it's called:
For every good Deus ex, there is a bad one.
according to what i read none of the HR Endings are canon
what if all the endings are canon [sp]again[/sp]
what if all the endings are canon [sp]again[/sp]
They already said they aren't.
For every good Deus ex, there is a bad one.
The Deus Ex cycle
Wait, which ending was canon again [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] [sp]I always thought it was him blowing the platform up, no?[/sp]
That was such a stupid ending. It makes the ridiculous assumptions that[sp] A: blowing up the station is any less of a decision affecting mankind's fate than anything else, B: making a decision that affects mankind is somehow worse than murdering hundreds of people, and C: that mandkind has some kind of gestalt will that can somehow be subverted by anyone doing something important. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]THe worst part was the 3 choices were "Tell the people what happened from the biased point of view of Darrows/Sarif/Taggart" with no option to just have Eliza report the facts. Just leave shit out to skew people's view or kill everyone on the station and destroy a structure designed to counter environmental damage, causing a shit load of damage in the process.[/sp] I think the fourth option makes the most sense thematically, rejection of authority and power playing and all that, but as far as actual events go it's pretty stupid.
