• Headphones are too quiet.

Just recently I've bought Siberia Elite Black Edition. Now I wanted to listen to music on full volume, but it seems to be too quiet and I have no idea how to fix it. @Edit: Okay, I found out that it's quieter because of soundcard, is there any way I can make the soundcard louder? @Edit2: I noticed that VIA HD Audio Deck recognises my headphones as speakers: [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4764969/hsd.PNG[/img_thumb]
Well, I am using the soundcard provided by SteelSeries and if I can't make it any louder - it sucks.
Some integrated sound chips can't drive low impedance headphones very well. High impedance headphones on the other hand get loud even at low volume settings.

They provided a sound card, you can see which one in here www.steelseries.com/elite If it isn't that good, should I pick another one?
Might want to check if more people have this issue. Did you also install the latest drivers? Also is the VIA hd--whatever the software provided by steelseries? Try removing all the sound software and reinstalling the software for the steelseries sound card. And check for avls or volume leveling settings and turn them off.
I don't know if this will help you, but some applications such as VLC media player allow you to surpass 100% volume, although it might make the sound sound shitty
Get an alternative sound card like the Xonar DG (I have one and the volume levels are leaps and bounds over my built in Realtek chip) which has a built-in amplifier. Alternatively get a decent DAC.
Yes if it's only quiet when gaming with a voice chat open then it's Windows lowering the game sound. Right click speaker icon and click playback devices, then go to communication and disable it there.

Also VIA HD AudioDeck was on the CD I got with my AMD Motherboard. Anyways, I am sure that it's the soundcard issue now because if I plug it via microUSB to minijack converter, the music is like 50% louder.
