Hello Facepunch,
I come to you at a time of need! I am soldering a circuit board and i have hit a problem,
to be honest it is extremely hard to explain the problem so if it is possible could someone
with vast electronics knowledge [simple soldering] prepare to help me over msn? I
can offer a webcam image of what my problem is and a brief explaination to my problem.
THANKS FACEPUNCH!
Can you just take a picture of what you're trying to do or at least explain it a little bit?
Just post a pic.
Most of the time the experts will be able to tell what needs to be done by looking at it.
Basically I attached the flexiboard to a circuit board, the diagram shows what it should look like and what it looks like now. The burns are from trying to solder it (the solder wont attach) and there is missing flexi as I cut it off to try and get the wiring out as the flexiboard is plastic coated.
Is it really a burn? Is it not that yellow stuff (aka flux) thats inside the solder? And if you have a soldering iron with variable temperatures, what temperature are you using?
It is just one temperature and I called it burn because its black.... but the flexiboard came with glue which I tried to use but ended up removing with something so I guess it could be the left over glue...
You offered a webcam image. Post it. If it's too dark to see, go get a light, take a new image, and post it.

Also if you go to 3:03 on this installation video that is what I am trying to do...
