• Random issue with Subwoofer / Front Left

Okay, so this may not be a good forum for this, but someone may be able to help... I just got a new surround sound setup, and the stereo receiver is sending the bass signal to the front left speaker - no audio is coming from the sub. I've checked like 100 times and everything is hooked up properly. Ideas? Thanks! Stereo receiver is STR-DE425. [editline]20th September 2011[/editline] when I hook the sub up to the left channel, it works fine. But then I don't have a left channel.
How did you hook everything up and what is your audio source+Cabeling. Sounds to me you switched a cable at the 5.1 input, or the audio output from your 5.1 soundcard. Is this the back of it?
yes, that's it, and I'm using an iPod until it's 100% working, then I'm hooking it up to either my TV or my sound card.
When I plug in the sub to the left channel and then the left channel to the left front 02, the sub is kind of quiet, and the left still is playing a good amount of bass frequencies... What in the hell is going on here? Maybe it's time for a new stereo receiver...
Make sure it is on 5.1 mode.
It is, sound is coming out all the speakers but the sub...
Wired it like this:? Woofer output on your card-->Woofer input on your amp-->Woofer output on your amp-->Active subwoofer (With an amp build in) On your pc you have subwoofer enabled-->On your card to-->And also in the menu on your amp-->And the volume know(if any) on your active sub is at 100%?
It's not hooked up to my PC yet. It's currently hooked up to my ipod. Please read the rest of the thread, I explained that the woofer doesn't work through the woofer port.
Ahh so a stereo input. In that case it is either audio setting inside the amp or sub. That or it is broken.
