Anybody play the mandolin? - General

I've always loved bluegrass and traditional celtic music so I'm going to go to look for a beginner mandolin now. Anybody play one? Just curious, it doesn't seem like all that popular of an instrument.

I'd really like to learn how.

I've been playing for about three years.

I went and looked around today, there's a grand total of two mandolins in my entire city. They're both pretty nice and fortunately one of them is fairly affordable at 180 USD. So I'm gonna trade in my old beginner guitar and pay the difference and buy the mandolin.

Haha, wow. Would explain all the banned users. Actually, no it doesn't. The bump post is filled with great content, though.

If you've got a mandolin, try and play Zeppelin's 'Gallows Pole' on it. Sounds bloody awesome, that's all i do with mine.

Ukulele is better.
