I moved my computer from one room (spare room) to my bedroom, and somehow that ruins all signals coming in since I can no longer connect to the internet for more than 5 minutes. Different channels have been tried and all have the same result. The wireless router is a Belkin N series

and was even moved closer to my room with no change in performance.
Basically moving my computer fucked over my wireless.
Try rebooting the router. Also if you have any 2.4Ghz cordless phones they could be interfering with the router signal. I had an old phone that cut off wireless whenever it was used.
If that's not the problem, explain more symptoms such as: How does the internet cut off? You cannot access webpages or the wireless signal cuts out? More details.
Moreso, check for ANY interference. What materials are your walls made of between your bedroom and router's location? Is the paint lead-based (which may dampen signals)? Is there an active microwave/fridge between your router and your computer?
Is there an excessive amount of AC wall adaptors plugged in between the router (some of these transformers can emit more EMI than others, but all can contribute to signal loss)?
WAS the computer in a direct line-of-sight to the router until you moved the computer to your room?
Check for any of these which may provide interference. Also make sure that signal damping materials are not between the router and your computer (Once again, any lead based paint, or even some soundproofing materials / insulation.). Also look into the antenna, maybe you need a stronger one.
But... Belkin isn't very good gear IMO... We used netgear and belkin wireless USB receivers and they SUCKED. The belkin one was the worse, but the netgear ones weren't much better.
TP-Link is the only stuff that actually works, maybe something like this might work out a little better...
