The Wasteland[/release]
[release]The Story
In 2010, a power-hungry lunatic leader of a certain Middle Eastern country was told he only had one week to live. "One week? Where did my life go so wrong that I would die before I even had the chance to see my country make an impact on the world?" He thought to himself.
In the days after this grave news, all of his citizens stopped contacting the outside world. Other countries tried to contact the people, to see what had happened. There was no response. An investigation was sent to the capitol city, but all of the lights were out, except for the factory. The newly built factory seemed to be running full throttle. The team couldn't get in, the doors were sealed and the windows blocked and barred.
The day that the lunatic leader was going to die, the factory's roof opened up. A giant support structure came out, along with a giant missile. The team stared in awe as the massive missile rose into the night sky. They could barely see an image of a man, in what seemed to be a cockpit, actually piloting this massive nuclear missile. As it launched into the night sky, they cursed under their breath. The leader drove that missile straight to Moscow, and annihilated almost all of their population.
Russia did not know what country the bomb came from, but they knew whoever did it would have to pay. They fired their payloads towards the most likely country the capitalist US bastards. Soon after, the US fired their nuclear warheads, Britain, France, Spain, Canada, North Korea, China, India, Pakistan, Israel, Belgium, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, South Africa, Ukraine, Poland, Australia, and pretty much every developed country fired theirs as well.
Like something straight out of a video game, the world was completely shrouded in nuclear holocaust for 20 years, with people who didn't get killed by the extreme radiation dying from the toxic air or from lack of food, and water. The only people who survived are ones with fallout shelters and stockpiles, or people who were so far away from civilization that they weren't affected. It is thought that the population in 2010 of 6,697,254,041 people has now decreased to less than 100 million.
Now, it's 2030. The radiation on the surface has dissipated enough to allow people to travel the surface largely unaffected. Technology and Science has not advanced at all over these years, with whatever wasn't stockpiled or safely stored underground having been destroyed. Food on the surface is pretty much completely gone, and whatever water hasn't dried up is most likely toxic. Conditions are less than ideal for survival.

[release]The Game
The setting is year 2030, in Alpena, a small city in Michigan, USA. The city was not directly hit with a bomb, though neighboring Detroit was completely decimated. The city is now a warzone, with factions competing for control of the city. Your task as a player in this new world is to survive. How you survive is up to you. Are you a Loner, wandering the wastes and living by yourself? Are you a Trader, bartering with the other factions to live? Do you live with the Government, in a cushy vault with a corrupt leader? Or, do you side with the rebellious Anarchs, ex-smugglers fighting the corrupt Government? How you play is up to you.
The Factions
The Government. Homebase: The Vault
All of the Government civilians, soldiers, and leaders survived in the Alpena Vault. They say they fight to reclaim the city, for the good of mankind and to reinstate order, however there are rumors that the leaders live in luxury while their civilians scrape by on rations, and that they only let people into the vault who paid a hefty sum of money to get in. Their tech is top of the line, they have a strong leadership structure and a barracks full of well trained and well armed soldiers.
Advantages: Players playing as a Government civilian or soldier do not have to worry about food or water, as they are rationed out to them. Soldiers start with equipment, including armor, a gas mask, an HE grenade, and a weapon with ammo.
Disadvantages: People in the town (loners, citizens) have distrust for the Government. Traders know that the Government has a big stockpile, so all Traders will want more stuff in trade with you. All Anarchs are automatically hostile to all soldiers, and will fire on sight. Leaders are not as compassionate towards their people's lives as Anarch leaders.
The Anarchs. Homebase: Cruise Ship
The Anarchs were a bunch of wanderers before arriving in Alpena and viewing the magnificent wrecked cruise ship on the lake bed. Instantly, the leader fell in love, and they set up camp in the ship. Well fortified and quite large, it has served them well so far. Many were criminals before the bombs fell, outcasts, or those denied from Vault access. Thus, they have a deep hatred for the government.
Advantages: Players playing as an Anarch civilian or soldier have enough food/water to scrape by, but their supply is not infinite. Players playing as an Anarch soldier start with equipment including an AK and ammo, as well as two molotovs.
Disadvantages: Civilians live in less than ideal conditions. People in the town (loners, citizens) are wary of the Anarchs, believing they cause too much danger, though some agree with their cause. The enemies they are in a constant struggle with are better coordinated and equipped. All Government are automatically hostile to all soldiers, and will fire on sight.
The Loners. Homebase: The Semi Trailer
Loners are the indecisive group (or what you start out as if you want to RP that way. it's up to you.) who choose to neither fight for nor against the Government. They could be Anarch or Government ex-soldiers who deserted, or civilians who stayed in their own personal fallout shelter, or wanderers who decided to stay in this city. The back story is up to you. Loners are by default neutral with all factions. (except mutants of course.) Loners, if they so desire, can accept jobs from factions in exchange for something they need. But without a weapon this will be taxing, and many cocky Loners end up mauled by a wandering mutant or shot down by a trigger happy paranoid.
Advantages: Living off the land for so long has made you great at scavenging. When you scavenge, you can find more usable things than others, and you can fashion tools more efficiently and easily than others. You have adapted to have more survivability, and thus your mind is attune to things that could help you survive. Also, Traders can relate to your plight, and will always deal fairly and may even be charitable. No groups will attack on sight, besides mutants. But don't feel bad, they hate everyone.
Disadvantages: You live off the land, relying mainly on your self. You start out with no equipment besides the clothes on your back, meaning to get weapons you MUST either sign up with a faction or trade for them. This puts you at danger to the mutants more than any other group. No spawning with weapons. Spawning with a knife is acceptable, and stealing from another group or scavenging from a dead soldier is allowed. (and encouraged.)
The Traders. Homebase: Trader's Market
Traders make their living trading with others in the wastes. Whether you used to be a businessman, or you were a wanderer who decided one day to start trading to make your life easier, you live for the trade. Not only do you bring many items around the wastes to people who need them, trading for other useful things, but you also can be sent on missions from other factions. Faction members can request certain items, and will in turn give you what you want from them. Traders take the risk, but they reap the rewards.
Advantages: Traders can scavenge very well. They have many pockets, and can hold a superhuman amount of stuff. They have access to a safe homebase and stockpile, and they have bartering power with others. Traversing the wastes is a skill they've mastered, they have more agility in their movements and can cover hard terrain faster. Attacks against a Trader by either the Government or the Anarchs will result in all traders being hostile towards the faction and refusing to trade until they pay reparations.
Disadvantages: Traders due to their nature are not very good in combat. Running away would have more chance of success. They frequently enter faction territory and even sometimes mutant territory to get the things they need. Due to them having a lot of things on them at all times, they are more likely to be targets of marauders or looters, as well as Loners who don't mind killing/stealing to get what they need. Traders who carry a weapon can only hold 50% the amount of stuff in their pockets.
The Mutants. Homebase: Waste Dump
Mutants are a result of the radiation that was spread all over the world on the day the bombs fell. It wasn't enough to kill you, but it sure as hell deformed you. You have a hatred for all humanity, and will probably attack them on sight. There are always some exceptions.
Advantages: You're a mutant. Like Fungi, you need no sustenance to survive. Your deformities can be advantageous, resulting in increased strength, multiple limbs, higher perception, anything. (Don't make yourself OP please  )
Disadvantages: You're a mutant. All characters will either run from you or attempt to kill you. All basecamps will fire on you unless you are escorted by a member of their faction. Depending on how deformed you are, you cannot hold guns. (To give balance.) Also, you stink and you're ugly  so take that!
Make your own faction! Homebase: Whatever you can control.
As a wastelander, you decide your own fate. Get enough guys together who agree with you, and you can make your own faction. Get weapons and takeover a building by force, barricade it, and now you've got a basecamp. Are you allied with other factions or against them? It's up to you. You, as the leader, can decide everything. Your faction outfits, your command structure, and how you interact with the problems of the waste. Feel free to be creative, but be warned, because others will want your territory, and you must constantly defend against looters and mutants, as well as hunger and thirst!
[/release]
[release]The Rules:
1. No overpowered characters or god moding or metagaming. That means no mutant characters who shoot disintegrating lasers out of their chest and regenerate wounds while also being able to fly and can also mind control. No god moding means that if you get shot, you really do get shot. You can't dodge 4 bullets coming right towards you. Unless you're Neo. Which you aren't. Don't worry about dying. See rule 2. Metagaming is where your character knows what he shouldn't. Just because you can see the whole map, doesn't mean your character knows what is around that corner. Oh, and your character doesn't have super-hearing, he can't "hear" a person walking 5 floors above him.
2. Let yourself die. The world is gritty, it's the fuckin' apocalypse bro. No matter how badass your character is, you can't survive two bullets to the chest and a building falling on top of you. YOU CAN RESPAWN, however when you respawn you will not have any of the extra equipment you have gained over your previous life. The way factions work, there are going to be wars. Your character is going to be in harms way, and realistically, sometimes the harm finds you. It's just a game, let others kill you and then respawn in your faction base and kill them back. If you want to respawn as a whole new character, that is fine and actually encouraged. When you die, your loot is stored on your dead corpse. You can venture out and retrieve it, but other players can retrieve it as well.
3. Use common sense. When moving or interacting with the environment, use common sense. There are not M249 MGs under mattresses, and you can't fashion a laser katana out of a pile of rubble. You also cannot survive a jump from a 5 story high building, nor can you traverse the entire map in two turns. I'm not going to say be realistic, because this is supposed to be fun, but don't be really unrealistic. Oh, and read the faction spawning rules. Don't spawn with a deathcannon in your pocket and nightvison goggles while riding a tank and helicopter at the same time.
4. The GMs reserve the right to control the game, and they're the authority in this thread. The GMs as of right now are Valiant, Binkow, SpartanApples, and Livewire. We made the gamemode and the thread, and we also control NPCs and balance the game. For now, Binkow is the Government Leader and Spartan is the Anarch Leader. I'm dealing mainly with Traders, but also with NPCs around the city (mutants, etc). Livewire handles Loners and does some other awesome story-related stuff. If we ask you to do something or change something about your character, please respectfully do so. We appreciate it.
5. Only GMs Stack Declare. This is so that we can get a turn in when people are declaring left and right, it is important for us to Stack Declare so we can do events and status updates. No stack declaring if you aren’t a GM, but because of this, let other people take turns, don’t be a turn hog.
6. Have Fun. Yeah, how cliché, the last rule is to have fun. Like we haven't seen that in every thread ever created. Well, this time it's a real rule. One Debbie downer, sassy Susan, grumpy Gerald, etc. will bring the whole thread mood down. The rules and stuff might seem strict but we're just doing so because we feel it will be better for everyone. If there is an aspect that is dragging the game down, or if we're fuckin something up and making it less enjoyable, let us know, but don't be a whiny baby or drama queen. We really want everyone to have a good time so that this RP can last and not go down in a shit-flinging flamestorm.
[/release]
[release]HOW TO JOIN. IF YOU DON'T BOTHER TO READ MY WALL OF TEXT RAMBLINGS, AT LEAST READ THIS. AND THE RULES TOO. THANKS.
Step 1. Read the OP. Please. :) Trust me, it will not take more than 5 minutes, and I'd really appreciate it.
Step 2. Choose the faction you'd like to start out as, after reading the section about them.
Step 3. Choose your character's name, back story, etc.
Step 4. Sprite your character. For this RP, we are taking a page out of Code's book, and we want every character to have the same style. The entire map has been built based off of the dimensions of this character, so just please use it. (This is Spartan's resize of TY2D2's template, the one in the free RP sheets.)
We would like faction players to have faction colors somewhere obvious on their body. Anarchs - Red, Gov - Blue, Loners - Beigeish, Traders - Green/Brown overcoats (traders should really all look alike but if you make a good case for a unique looking trader I'll probably allow it). Mutants should be obviously mutants, no mutants that don't look like mutants. Here are the basic uniforms for all factions.

If you're feeling creative here is the template, add any additional poses you need. As a Loner, you can later join a faction and obtain an identifying piece of clothing. You don't have to look like all the others, but people need to know what faction you're in just by looking at your character. http://ooft.net/upload/4421146r.png
Step 5. Post your spritesheet that you just made or copy/pasted from the big sprite sheet. Underneath your spritesheet you should have information in this format: MAKE SURE TO USE [release][/release] tags please!
FP Name: RP Name / Faction (if your faction changes I will update the playerlist, I read every post so dw.)
Description with history, personality, advantages, disadvantages. Have the first two in one paragraph and the second two in another paragraph. (separated so it's easy to tell.) In a lower paragraph, add what you've contributed to the map or RP if you have contributed, so that I know who helped and can send out those packages we talked about. If you haven't ignore it.
For example.
Valiant: Leon Faraday / Anarchs
Leon used to be an engineer, top of his class in MIT. He had just gotten his masters in Mechanical Engineering weeks before the bombs fell. He returned home to his parents’ house in Michigan when he heard on the News of nukes being launched. He heard of the vault and tried to get his parents and himself into it, but he didn't have enough money to bribe his way in. He frantically drove to the family farm to hide in the root cellar. They lived skimpily, for 20 years, when out of starvation they opened the doors. They tried to travel to civilization, to Alpena the closest city. His mother died of starvation on the walk there. His father soon after. He finally reached the city, and was picked up by a traveling Anarch patrol. He blames the Government for killing his parents.
Being a Mechanical Engineer, he knows how to design and implement machinery. He's studied it for a good 8 years of his life. However, he has never really built anything large scale. And he's never built anything out of scrap metal and tape.
Notice a couple things. One, I followed the format. It's important, because we're going to have a player list and it makes life easy on us. Two, my description is detailed and gives history. Be creative with this, don't just make a "military guy". Three, my description shows why you're in the faction you're in. Being a cop but joining the Anarchs doesn't really make sense, but being an ex-cop who was denied vault access and whose partner was killed trying to sneak into the vault makes sense. Four, and lastly, my character is balanced, having both advantages and disadvantages. He has a useful skill, but he has no real-life experience, and is used to working with precise equipment. Thus, his skill is countered, making him balanced, but he still brings new skills to the group, in order to make the game more interesting.
You don't have to write an autobiography, but write a few sentences.
[/release]
Anyways, enough of me yapping and telling you what to do.
Let's get this show on the road!

[release]FAQ!
I decided to add an FAQ which will be updated after people ask questions that the OP does not answer. For example, people are wondering if you are required to wear a gasmask. I would make an FAQ like so:
Q: Do you have to wear a gasmask?
A: No, you do not HAVE to wear a gasmask. Indoors is perfectly safe from the toxic air, but outdoors is iffy. Long exposure to outside air may result in your character becoming mutated. This will not be a problem for most people, but the closer you get to the West the more toxic the air becomes, so be careful about it. (More than likely this will not affect you, survey says many people don't want to be forced to wear a gasmask, if you want to then by all means go for it. I will warn your character if you are feeling woozy and should go inside. No surprise "You're now a mutant" here.)
Hopefully, everyone's questions can be answered this way and people won't have to ask the same question twice. :)
Q: Where's Mayor Monkey?
A: He doesn't exist. This is NOT the same city as FP Island, this is a whole new story and setting.
Q: Can I join the Government TTF?
A: No. The TTF are sort of OP, and as such are controlled solely by binkow. Fully armored and with great tactics and weaponry, the TTF are the Government’s military hand on the surface. If players were allowed to be TTF, not only would different time zones break their squad mechanic of precise movement, but also they would be imbalanced in comparison to all of the other players. Having them as GM controlled makes it better for players as a whole, and when we do events it’ll be a lot better.
Q: What do you mean by events?
A: Events are something that the GMs may start to add life to the RP. Events will be split up into two categories: Instance and Global. Instance events happen to only one or a small group of characters. If you’re alone scavenging for something, you may just find mutants when you turn around. Or, you are traversing a building when suddenly the stairs collapse and you have to find another route. This spices up the game for people and makes simple running across the map exciting and difficult, unlike in other RPs. Global events will affect entire factions or everyone playing. Usually, players will have to work together to solve and counter Global events, unlike Instance events which are solved by one player. An example is the Vault power system is on the fritz and will shut down if they don’t find a replacement part, there are rumors that the Anarchs might be in possession of one; does the Government raid the Anarch base? Do they sneak in with a small group? Or do they try to find a diplomatic solution through a third party? Global events can change the game entirely, and will be less frequent than Instance events.
Q: Elaborate more on the “Quest system” or the faction jobs.
A: The questing system in this RP is another aspect which is new to this RP, and hopefully will make the game more enjoyable (as that is the purpose of all of these new features.) Basically, your character can accept jobs from faction leaders for payment/trade. Taking the example from the event mentioned earlier, maybe the Government hires a trader to get the part from the Anarchs, and in return will pay him/her handsomely or supply him/her with a state of the art rifle. The trader player will then accept or deny this job, and if they accept it they aim to complete it. It is similar to quests in RPG video games, you are given a quest by a person, and after you complete it, you go back to that person for a reward.
Q: Explain the icons on the to me.
A: The icons on the map are common in RPs, they show an image of your character and your character’s name. They only have to be made once, and then you can forget about them. We request that you make an icon along with your sprite and post it in the same spritesheet as your character, and then post it in the map next to the other ones when you first spawn your character. The only time you would have to change this is if you die and you make a new character with a new name, or if you change faction. Put your RP Name in the top, then your FP name, then your Faction. Here is the basic format of the icon:
Q: Why did you post my name and hungry next to it?
A: This is another form of Instance events, status updates. Randomly throughout the game I may post “Trifon – Tired” (using Trifon as an example). This means your RP character is starting to feel tired. If you don’t seek out rest, your status will compound and become “Exhausted”, and if you continue to ignore it you may find yourself passing out in the middle of a street, surrounded by Ghouls. Another status update are injuries, if you jump from a tall height, and do not acknowledge it yourself, you may find your character has “Leg Injury – Limping” status, you move slower, and you will need to relax or seek medical aid to heal more serious injuries. We want to encourage you to handle this yourself, so that we don’t have to: ie, The shot hits Jacques shoulder, shattering his arm, he screams and almost falls over, clutching at the wound.
Q: So if I can’t be TTF what can I be?
A: The Government TTF aren’t players (read above) but you can still be a Government soldier. The Government has instituted a scavenger team which goes topside, under orders from the General. So if you want to be a Gov. soldier but not be a Vault Guard, sign up for Scavenger team. (you may be doing more than just scavenging hint hint).
Q: I don’t know what my character should do!
A: Here is a rough list of jobs from faction leaders, and other jobs and such that come into my head.
Government: STARS (Special Topside Acquisition and Retrieval Squad) leader, STARS Member, Reactor Manager, Scientist, Cook, Civilian, Vault Security, Spy, Ambassador, Ambassador bodyguard (not a set list, many more! Be creative).
Anarchs: Foot soldiers, Sergeants, Scavengers/Scouts, Right Hand man, Civilian, Sniper, Demolitions, etc. etc. (most of the Anarch jobs are military.)
Other: Mutant, Trader, Mercenary, Hired Bodyguard, Loner, Raving Lunatic with a fascination for lamps, Anything you can think of.
New Factions: Raiders, Marauders, Thieves, Dark Brotherhood, Psychos, anything.
The common theme here is user creativity and the common purpose is having fun.
[/release]
Here is my character's info, my character is a GM so that's why I start out with all this stuff, but I thought having a back story would be good for players to know. However, your player should not start out with anything really (unless you're in a faction.) The other GMs will probably seem OP as well but trust me, we aren't going to run around killing everyone because we aren't big dummies.
[release]http://ooft.net/upload/7914123r.png
Valiant: Leon Faraday / Traders
Leon used to be an engineer, top of his class in MIT, of which he graduated 5 years earlier than most. He had just gotten his masters in Mechanical Engineering weeks before the bombs fell. He returned home to his parents’ house in Michigan when he heard on the News of nukes being launched. Luckily, since he is a bit paranoid, he already had a fallout shelter in his backyard. Hiding inside with his new puppy, he lasted 18 years with nothing but his techy toys to play with. In 2028 he emerged, figuring that it would be safe enough. He made his way to the city of Alpena, and set up camp in a Mall there. No one was around for a good two years, and by then he had stockpiled quite a large store of things in his camp, as well as fortifying it and getting a small group of travelers to follow his lead, dubbing themselves the Trader$. He set up a large loudspeaker system throughout the city so that he could send commands to his fellow traders, and enjoys playing with his old dog, Meko. Now in 2030, he is 34 (though he looks 29), and as more and more people entered his city, he is known to all factions as the man who can get you what you need. He is charitable though he always expects something in return in the near future. He's honest and will hold up his end of the deal, but if you fuck him over, you're going to regret it.
Being a Mechanical Engineer, he knows how to design and implement machinery. He's studied it for a good 8 years of his life. He has a large speaker system networked across the city and a good group of traders under his wing. He has access to a big stockpile of many goods, but isn't afraid to go searching for something unique as long as the pay is good. Yet, he has never really built anything large scale. And he's never built anything out of scrap metal and tape. A bit arrogant at times, Leon's demeanor can put some people off. Usually his honest nature gets him into trouble. And he has one very large weakness, he has a soft spot for the ladies.[/release]
Okay! Finally after 4 months of me largely not doing anything, we are finally off the ground!
Big Thanks to Codemonkey, for FP Island and for his map which he edited in the old Wasteland roleplay and which this map was built off of. Thanks to binkow who started this project with me, and Spartan and Live for also helping lead the project and for helping me moderate the game, as well as helping me with new ideas for the thread and convincing me to trash old ideas that sucked (it's them you can thank for not having an inventory, that would have been a trainwreck) AND for their map contributions. Thanks to Cheshire Cat for being Wasteland's #1 fan, and for his work on the props and the map. Thanks to Destroyer for his major work on the map, which without we'd probably never finish the map. Finally, thanks to everyone else who worked on sprites used, props used, and who edited the map and I missed. Without you guys helping us, this would never have been released.

Oh and READ THE OP Cheers, and welcome to the Wasteland.
[release]Leon's Broadcasts
On Traders.
"Hey everyone. Leon Da Vinci Faraday, trader boss here. It's a lovely day out today, isn't it? Remember, if you have any jobs that you need done, or objects to trade, stop by the Mall in the middle of the city. We work with anyone and everyone! If you need a job done and I can't meet you directly, please hand a parcel to any of my traders wandering the wastes or place it in the mailbox under my establishment. I will read it as soon as I am available. You can also contact me by sending a message through radio, frequency is 128 GHz, 1400 AM, or 101.1 FM. Ciao, buona giornata. Guardati le spalle, e rispettare l'accordo."
On Ghouls.
"Oh and one more thing, mutant sightings are on the rise. Ghouls mainly, though some have spotted others. For any of you Wasteland virgins, Ghouls are what happens when your brain turns to mush by toxic air. You lose all your memories, hopes and dreams, all you can do is stumble, moan, and maul. Your craving for human flesh is all that keeps you moving. Ever watched a Zombie movie? If you haven't, you missed out. That's another thing to chalk up to the 'Things I miss about Earth That Was' list. Anyways, they're like Zombies but if you get bit you don't turn into one. Those bites are nasty though, and need to be treated medically. Their moan calls other Ghouls towards you, and loud noises attract them. This is Dr. Faraday, professor of your required freshman course, Wasteland 101. Pay attention in class and it might just save your ass. Buona giornata. Guardati le spalle, e rispettare l'accordo."
On the Plane Crash:
"Whoever the stupid motherfucker was that decided crashing a plane into my city would be a good idea, you're goddamn lucky that you missed my buildings. There is one thing you might not have known, or were too stupid enough to think of, and that's the fact that Ghouls are attracted to LOUD NOISES. That crash caused such a shockwave I wouldn't be suprised if a whole horde came through to find the source of the sound. You better hope your gear is checked, your guns are cleaned and loaded, and you're in a defensible position. My math gives us a couple hours before any Ghouls wandering in the Detroit outskirts come running. Ciao." (1st event begins sometime soon)

The dark, damp room closes in on Jacque as the musty air breezes in on his face.
Its been 3 days since he escaped his job in the Vault, three days since he was replaced by a new leader, 3 days since General Flay realised he was gone, or had they realised at all? it was hard to tell when you were on your own, no food, no water, nothing but a tattered coat and whats left of your charisma, He needed help, and he needed it fast.
"Come on chap, You can do it now..." He croaks to himself, straightening his back

Accepted GTA, but GTA add a green band to your arm or your hat. Darth you can take your turn.

Accepted Trifon, but you should also add a green band since your overcoat isn't the same.
Also, that's enough Traders for now.

Livewire2440: Jacque LeClaude/Loners
Jacque was a high ranking Goverment leader until very recently, many citizens had a liking for him, and often invited some of his most trusted to special celebrations, he was happy, and swore to himself he would never leave his most trusted, Even if it meant having to deal with General Flay, However one day it came to his attention that he was on a list of people to be assassinated by the anarchs, and even by hired killers inside the vault!, being the coward he is he fled late at night, His absence only being realised the next morning, lost, and being searched for by his now Ex-Colleagues, he took refuge inside a building for three days, living out of mouldy bread and fish in a crate of food, and sleeping in an old wardrobe, cold, thirsty, and lost he has to find help in the people on the surface, the only problem is, will they discover his Goverment past, and will being out in the open, make him more vunerable to the fast learning anarchs?
Jacque is blessed by a fantastic charisma, allowing him to talk himself in or out of any situation, he can also charm, and outwit almost anyone, however, he was never a fighter, and has never wielded a firearm in his life, unless you count an air rifle, he is also a terrible coward, and will flee at the first sign of danger, unless he can talk his way out of course.[/release]
Just thought i should make an application even though its not needed.

These opening parts are going to be a little boring, once everyone is in though an event will start and stuff will go down.
But I might give an instance event to some active players. (hint: if you don't know what that is you might wanna read the OP)

Name: Kraj
Faction: None (For now)
Bio: Kraj was just a wasteland wanderer, when he came across an abandoned military base. More importantly, he found a slightly decaying passenger plane. He had an idea: the plane could be repaired, and he could charge high fees to fly rich wastelanders around the country.
After enlisting two pilots, he took it on a flight. First flyover: Alpena, Michigan...
(The plane will quickly be gone, just a heads-up.)
Oh yeah, don't I get a care package?
Were the hell would it land?

David Matteo
David was always a small town man. He liked the nice suburban communities where everyone knew everybody. The only bad thing is, when those people are starved, bloodthirsty, or mutants due to a nuclear holocaust, it really sucks when they know where you live.
For months David had fared well, holed up in his two story home with a salvaged bolt action rifle, keeping the baddies and nasties away. Though one day, he had to, as must we all, answer the call of nature. The last thing he remembered was standing up and setting his rifle down, and then waking up in front of a still-burning and looted home.
Now David has next to nothing, and was forced to leave, run away from these people who had taken so much from him. He travels for days, and then finds the city of Alpena, Michigan. To his surprise, it's populated, and not too unfriendly. Being so tired as he is, David decides to settle down for a while, and try and make the best of what he can in this hellhole.
Advantages: Good with rifles and fixing things up, be it making barricades or salvaging rudimentary weapons.
Disadvantages: Middle-aged, and feels older than he is. Has nothing with him but clothes and a crappy knife (this totally did not say pistol :tinfoil:). Commitment issues, due to all his old friends wanting to kill him.
Personality: Tired a lot, somewhat experienced wastelander. Has no problem dealing with or talking to people, but prefers to be by himself.
Did I do it right? :v:
