I completed my build, but before i plug it in and turn it on, I need some computer savvy person to check out if my build looks good I plugged every cable in, so i think it should work but i need someone to check, also on the HDD there isnt a power cable but only a SATA (It's a 3 1/4 inch or something drive)
We can't view the image, you can't hotlink it.
Filesmelt wont work, anybody know a good image host (imageshack doesn't work for me) imageshack works again, pic added to the OP
you didnt include the 20+4pin mobo connector [editline]06:52PM[/editline] and the HDD power cable looks like a double length sata cable on your PSU
SATA power cable
Im taking another look the 6-pin connector is connected to the mobo and i found the SATA power cord and connected it.

There are no cables that fit in that slot. [editline]derp[/editline] Wait, I found it. Is it safe to turn it on now?
we cant tell from the picture, but did you put standoffs in?
-snip ninja-
we cant tell from the picture, but did you put standoffs in?
If standoffs are mettalic screws then yes, Around the screwholes theres some soldering iron, is this to prevent static electricity? [editline]06:26PM[/editline] Any help? [editline]06:38PM[/editline] It wouldn't hurt to give me a checklist or something

[editline]06:38PM[/editline] It wouldn't hurt to give me a checklist or something
Standoffs are the bronze things that you screw your motherboard onto. They come with your case. If you don't have these attached your mobo and cpu might/will succumb to static electricity.
Yeah, those were there and i screwed my mobo onto them, but the mobo had some soldering iron around the screws.
This is a soldering iron, i think you meant solder. But anyway, just try to turn it on. You have nothing to lose.
Sorry, i mean the stuff that you solder parts togheter with.
Yeah, thats solder. You can try turning it on. If you forgot to connect something it won't blow up or something, it will probably just beep at you or show some error on the screen.
It looks good, though you could spend a few minutes and tidy those cables and make it look even better. There is nothing better than clean internals of a system (I actually would prefer a decent spec system that has brilliant cable management than an overkill system with no cable management at all) It also shows you put extra effort into the build of your system and you will appreciate it more. It started and I am installing the operating system. :D
I spot a 5770 and an AMD 965, amirite?
Im not sure about the processor, but it's a tricore 2.9 GHz nad yes, it is a 5770
That motherboard has an awful layout.
Tri core? Not dual or quad core?
You might want to put the ram in the blue slots but I am not sure.
Tri core? Not dual or quad core?
You can purchase tri core CPUs you know (e.g phenom X3 8750)
turn it on, if noises happen check that nothings touching fan, then try again, test the disk drive, and then install operating system
It started and I am installing the operating system. :D
Nice, enjoy your new computer.
You might want to put the ram in the blue slots but I am not sure.
I have a Gigabyte mobo very similar to OP's and I put my RAM in the blue slots, and it works. I don't know if it matters though. Also I managed to plug in the 20+4 power connector to my mobo and not the 6-pin connector. It turned on for like half a second then immediately turned off.
Try some cable management, if you have gromets and stuff for it. If you dont just tie the wires with some string and shit.
