Sorry for quoting the full 'article,' but quite frankly there wasn't much content to it. Looks like good news for our European and South American buddies if you're looking to get the console this year.
Wow no Japan! How surprising!
What, no Japan? :v:
edit: fuckin' ninjas
Another jab at Microsoft from Sony, but... What happened to Japan and China? Sony is a japanese company after all.
[editline]ninjas[/editline]
Ninja'd on Japan, but the China remark still stands.
Why Thursday?

Japan is usually a week or two early with Sony consoles

China has a ban on all games consoles IIRC
I wonder what all the little kids will be wishing for this Christmas, a PS4, or a pre-order for a Xbox One.
Not saying that's a good thing.
Xbox One more like Xbowned am I right
China has a ban on all games consoles IIRC
I did not know that. Google search shows that ban might be lifted soon.
Xbox One more like Xbowned am I right
Seems that way so far. Sony said they're over 1 million pre-orders on the PS4 so far and they're launching to a MUCH larger market than Microsoft is. Things could certainly change, but Sony will most likely take an early lead this generation. What happens after that...a little harder to call.
China has a ban on all games consoles IIRC
It's a ban on all foreign produced games consoles. If a Chinese company made a console they could sell it.

Nintendo has the iQue there, and afaik China manufactures the main consoles anyway.
Fucking Zing 2: The Zingening.
Seriously MS, you had an amazing last gen compared to Sony and they are still able to do this. Step it up fuckers.
Wow rude, no PS4 in Latvia either.

Hell, Sony ended up beating Microsoft this past gen in lifetime units sold (last I checked anyway).
So...yeah, Microsoft really needs to step their game up, and with a major system-seller like Halo more than a year away, they might have a hard time doing that.
fuck the baltics
we're but filthy ex commies anyway
Its fine, trip from Tallinn to Helainki doesnt cost alot.
Wow rude, no PS4 in Latvia either.
Latvia has no potato, and now has no ps4. Life not fun.
I don't think Sony has region lock like Microsoft does. If you bought a PS4 in a nearby area that sells it, and bring it back, I don't think it will lock you out.

till next year i think, its still illegal to sell consoles in china.
but really i bet the japanese are pissed. this would be like microsoft not releasing the x-box in the u.s.

MS should have seen greater profits really, with the amazing sales they had at the start compared to Sony, and the XBox Live fee lowering the impact of running servers. Though Sony and their catchup near the end may have close that gap a bit, but I can't see it doing much as the PS3 dropped massively in price around then.

China confirmed for PC master race country.
I'm kind of surprised we don't get it in November here. 3 out of 4 neighbour countries are on the list though.
Wow rude, no PS4 in Latvia either.
Oh boo hoo, not like i am gonna pre-order mine from Amazon.de so it ships here or wait for retail...oh wait.
China has a ban on all games consoles IIRC
If their not a Chinese company so the state can control what's going on, hence why Nintendo had to team up with a Chinese electronic company to produce a Wii which was pretty much an official bootleg
I wonder why there's a two week difference between the US, Canada release and the Europe, Latin America release.
This is kind of sad that "it's available in your country at launch" has to be a selling point.

no one said it was. it's literally something that all companies do. they send out reports and manifests and some of the required information is availability by region. for something as major as a new game console, it just gets more attention as it's a game-breaker for some.
Even though Microsoft 180'd on basically everything, what they initially put forward was the world's greediest attempt of controlling everything and shows they have no real interest in what the customer wants, and only 180'd because what they had was going to lose money, not make it.
I'm rooting for the PS4. Don't know if I'll get one though, now that Division is coming to PC
