Holy shit they actually did it, in Anarchy no less
Now, will they catch Mewtwo next or will they start over? I'd really like to see them playing Gold/Silver next until they fight RED, that'd be amazing.
that video doesn't have chat in fucking worthless found one that does
Next one should be Twitch Plays Ninja Gaiden.
Very impressive
Holy shit the pokemon's names. aaaabaaaajss [editline]1st March 2014[/editline] They still beat the game faster than me.
Hopefully I can stop hearing about this shit now.
Hopefully I can stop hearing about this shit now.
nope, they're starting on gen 2 in roughly 20 hours.
There is even a twitch plays 07 runescape now.
I want to see twitch play pokemon snap
There is even a twitch plays 07 runescape now.
Link pls.
I really loved how much player-made narrative came out of this chaos. Stuff like this. Pokemon and items people frequently skip over have suddenly become resurrected gods, false prophets and saviors, the main char's portrayed as everything between "going mad from a demonic storm shouting in his head" to "Octodad, malfunctioning robot edition", and always a feeling of "holy shit we've somehow come this far, we can't stop now". In a very, very twisted sense, I think it's actually close to the intended Pokemon narrative of your replaceable critters growing onto you as memorable team members and you completing a weird and difficult road to victory. With an overdose of religion instead of friendship perhaps. If it all ends here I'd be fine with it, but if they continue I'll be happily watching from the side lines what other narratives might come into existence. I wonder what effects a Nuzlocke run would have.
Twitch should pick my lotto numbers
I even take months to finish a Pokemon game. Wow.
Heck, they started last month and took them 16 days to complete the game. 1st of march is the VICTORY DAY!

They beat the Elite Four simply by failing over and over, grinding their Pokemon's levels up in the process.
Twitch should play SS13

Doesn't mean they wouldn't (try to) change strategies if you changed the rules. People tend to play Nuzlockes with a lot more careful grind and more frequent pokecenter visits.

And even if they were, the spambots would sabotage the required precision. You could only make it through using Democracy mode, and that isn't exactly in the spirit of Twitch Plays Pokemon so much as a last resort when they're absolutely stuck.
Amazed it only took 2 weeks, was expecting more.

So what can we get out of this social experiment?
Grinding instead of advancing sounds like rough enough coordination.
Not if you want the Pokemon to stay alive.
this day shall forever be known as "Felix Fossil Day"
Twitch should play an SMT game, like Strange Journey.
What about Paper Mario? I can imagine it working very well with Twitch Plays.
What about Paper Mario? I can imagine it working very well with Twitch Plays.
I don't remeber the N64 version very well but I recall that the GC version had some platforming, I am not sure how well that would go over
They should play Gold or Silver next! Or Ruby!
So what can we get out of this social experiment?
How easy it is to make a cult, and how fast it can spread worldwide through social media. tl;dr PRAISE LORD HELIX
