The execs at Sony HQ can wipe the sweat off the brow for the next 30 minutes, because the hacker crew of the SS Lulz is claiming responsibility for AlJahad.com's (temporary) demise. The Islamist extremism site is sunk.
The site was nuked by rival (?) hacker The Jester in March, prompting Lulz Sec to boast of their coup: "ujelly?"
The Jester is likely somewhat jelly. Enjoy your lulz, boys! Nice of you to scrape away something other than vulnerable Sony customer accounts
What the fuck? What are they doing? First they hack a major electronics and game company and steal peoples credit card info and passwords, then they take down a terrorist website. What is their goal?
I'd say that even though the website had awful and terrible views, they deserved to voice their opinion, but they were huge assholes who try to encourage killing jews and shit.

they have no goal. they're just a bunch of kids doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
good to see them turning around
What the fuck? What are they doing? First they hack a major electronics and game company and steal peoples credit card info and passwords, then they take down a terrorist website. What is their goal?
To show how horrible security is and also for shits and giggles
they have no goal. they're just a bunch of script kiddies doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
Say what you will, but they're not script kiddies. I doubt you even know what that implies.
What the fuck? What are they doing? First they hack a major electronics and game company and steal peoples credit card info and passwords, then they take down a terrorist website. What is their goal?
We're not kidding here. Go to their website, and you will see they have no goal other than to provide "entertainment" for the internet.
they have no goal. they're just a bunch of script kiddies doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
Script kiddies rarely find exploits in medical hospital-thingies and gigantic hardware/software producers' systems
they have no goal. they're just a bunch of script kiddies doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
Nah these guys have actual skill.
they don't run a silly script or anything
They're a bunch of retarded geniuses.
they have no goal. they're just a bunch of script kiddies doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
haha, do you even know what a script kiddie is? lulzsec are blackhats
When can Lulzsec go take down the GOP website, I would love that on so many levels. It would also divert them from attacking poor people like Sony and have them attack things that need a good slap in the face.
haha, do you even know what a script kiddie is? lulzsec are blackhats
they're grayhats
they're grayhats
lulzsec has malicious intentions. they are not grayhats
they have no goal. they're just a bunch of kids doing it "for the lulz SO EPIC"
No.

This quote comes to mind, when I think of Lulzec:
...Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

lulzsec has malicious intentions. they are not grayhats
i don't think they've used any of the stolen credit card numbers, this seems like the only act that could be considered malicious but that's forgetting that the website is filled with hate speech.
I don't think this makes them any better than they were when they were being shitholes, they are still shitholes.
It is back now I think
It can remove the communication between terrorists, but it can also prevent people from monitoring them. :v:
What the fuck? What are they doing? First they hack a major electronics and game company and steal peoples credit card info and passwords, then they take down a terrorist website. What is their goal?
They don't have any real agenda or ideology. They hack things for the challenge, to expose shitty security (which I find to be a positive thing) and, as the name implies, "for the lulz".

Lulz?
lulzsec has malicious intentions. they are not grayhats
Proof?
haha, do you even know what a script kiddie is? lulzsec are blackhats
They liked the NHS though.

......And posting them for everyone to use isn't malicious?
These guys have no goals, they do this to instill terror and that's it. They call it lulz, anyone is effected calls it terror. They aren't politicaly motivated and they're not affliated with anyone.
They're hypocritical, they don't even follow the posted goal which "is to show how horrible cyber security is" with basically raping Sony and then hitting Nintendo but not doing damage. They're pompus douchebags who need to be caught.
......And posting them for everyone to use isn't malicious?
If they didn't actually leak the stuff not a shit would've been given by Sony or the media.
If they didn't actually leak the stuff not a shit would've been given by Sony or the media.
Uh huh. Oh that's cool, instead of doing some work and giving the users the heads up so they could force Sony to improve security they post it for everyone to abuse and see.
Proof?
If you've been following recent articles, they've leaked personal information from SonyPictures, and in their twitter they claimed that they hacked a blogger.
Alright, they're dicks.
Though admit that this is far from the worst possible scenario. Sony could've been hacked by a group with far more unscrupulous goals, and most importantly it could've taken place in secret. It sucks that users may have to pay for Sony's incompetence (though no one reportedly got their bank account drained), though as far as the company itself goes I have no sympathy. Skimping on security is betraying your users, which should be punishable by law. The positive thing is that now they might've fixed their vulnerabilities.
