Since today, everything has been going downhill. First it began with a random blue screen, then my computer began refusing to start up correctly, then it told me one of my fans wasn't operating and shut down, then an army of random blue screens, then I got to my desktop and my screen's resolution was at 800X600 and I received a message telling me my graphics card wasn't working or that I didn't have one. One random blue screen later, and I'm not here on my back to normal desktop, sitting in fear at what could happen next. Things like Windows Media Player, Windows Update, and other things have all had messages pop up telling me they've stopped responding. I can't even open !Avast Antivirus without it telling me it has stopped responding so I've resorted to having Malwarebytes', my second program, perform a scan of my entire computer. In fact, I think it's a miracle I'm sitting here typing this message right now on Firefox, which has decided to not crash on me. I'm too scared to even play any of my games, because I got a blue screen after 5 minutes of playing Team Fortress 2.
I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 fine with my friends in the morning, and then after exiting it everything went to shit. As far as I can tell, all 7 of my fans are working and my graphics card is functioning normally. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm praying it's a virus of sorts that my programs will be able to scope out and get rid of. Here are my specs:

I have no idea why any of this is happening. If you folks have any clue as to what's going on, please enlighten me. Thanks.
Do these things:
1) Download CPU-Z and GPU-Z and check your CPU and GPU temperatures
2) Download HD Tune and check your hard drive for S.M.A.R.T. errors
3) Download Memtest and run a memory test. I recommend at least 8 hours (do while sleeping) unless it finds errors immediately.
I'd recommend you to download Ubuntu, and then run it from the CD. If Ubuntu runs fine, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume that it's a software related problem, not a hardware related one.
