Yahoo CEO, Carol Bartz has been fired from her position today with CFO Tim Morse taking over the role for the time being. In an email to all of the companies employees she said, “To all, I'm very sad to tell you that I've just been fired over the phone by Yahoo's Chairman of the Board. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only best going forward. Carol Sent from my iPad” Supporters of Yahoo may or may not be surprised at the move by the board, as she has been unable to bring back the former glory that Yahoo once bathed in. She was appointed CEO back in January of 2009. There has been tension brewing within the company over the past few months, which may explain the sudden move. Major shareholders have been pressuring the directors of the company to gain some of the success that they once experienced. Although the board fired Bartz, they failed to name who her successor will be, which leads many to speculate they wanted to remove her from the position in a snap decision. Since the news Yahoo’s stocks have risen, although not by much – 0.31% at time of writing. Update: Yahoo have confirmed the story as they released a public statement.
Source:http://www.neowin.net/news/yahoo-ceo-carol-bartz-fired-over-the-phone I knew she was dumb, but not being able to figure out how to disable the default email signature on a fucking iPad takes it to a new level. Especially when trying to write something as important as a "I've just been fired from my high ranking position" email. Bye, Carol. You won't be missed.
How fucking rude, at least do it in person.
Stay classy, Yahoo. Now will my stock go up or down because of this? Down, of course!
You're making it sound like the fact that it says "sent from my iPad" means she's some idiot who deserved to be fired.
Its completely out of place on a email with a serious tone. Not the reason I'm glad shes gone though. She just happens to have been a terrible CEO who did nothing good for the company.

Who tells their own employees they were fired -_-
Stay classy, Yahoo. Now will my stock go up or down because of this? Down, of course!
It went up 0.31% immediately after news broke.
It went up 0.31% immediately after news broke.
I read the OP, thanks. That means nothing, considering the stock is at ~13, and has been below the 16 dollar mark for months. .31% is nothing, it's just hype, people buying in, thinking they can make some quick bucks tomorrow, and immediately sell. The best thing they could have done was sell to Microsoft, but noooooooooo. I don't really think this action alone will salvage the stock, but that's just my opinion, man.
Who tells their own employees they were fired -_-
Uhh, when a boss is fired they usually tell their employees about it so they don't wonder why their boss doesn't come to work. It's not like they wouldn't find out on their own anyways, so why not tell them?
Who tells their own employees they were fired -_-
Everyone because it's something they should know?
Who tells their own employees they were fired -_-
That's genius! Don't tell them and they will come and work for free! Profit!
Yahoo still exists?
Yahoo still exists?
They make pretty much all their money on marketing / advertising, even if you don't notice them they make vast amounts of money.
Stay classy, Yahoo. Now will my stock go up or down because of this? Down, of course!
Don't worry, I'm sure your AOL stock will make up for the loss.
Its completely out of place on a email with a serious tone.
I think that depends on the environment. To some people in the corporate world, "sent from my iPad" probably doesn't take away from the message at all if they're use to it. And if I were just fired from my job as a high-ranking official of a major internet company, removing the "sent from my iPad" would've been the last thing on my mind.
Please, Yahoo!, just die already. Also RIM. And Nintendo. I hate them all.

Why nintendo

I think we should see other people
...she has been unable to bring back the former glory that Yahoo once bathed in.
Yahoo had former glory? When?
Yahoo had former glory? When?
Before google got big. Back in the time of netscape and AOL
Yahoo had former glory? When?
Back when everyone had a Yahoo email account instead of a gmail.
Before google got big. Back in the time of netscape and AOL
Oh, back then I was playing on lego.com and my email was @aol.com. I didn't even know what Google, Netscape, or Yahoo was.
