(Reuters) - Russia's government has pushed the country into an economic crisis by not tackling its financial problems fast enough, former finance minister Alexei Kudrin said on Monday, warning the full effects would be felt next year. Kudrin -- a darling of investors who is credited with building Russia's $170 billion worth of sovereign wealth funds -- added that sanctions over Ukraine, not falling oil prices, were primarily behind the collapse of the rouble and warned that Russia risked seeing its debt downgraded to junk status in 2015. "Today, I can say that we have entered or are entering a real, full-fledged economic crisis. Next year we will feel it clearly," the former minister told a news conference.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/12/22/us-russia-crisis-idUSKBN0K011920141222
This is how WW3 begins
Not with a bang nor a whimper, but a bankruptcy? I think not.
Russian xmas is after new year, not before
Fucking savages
I cant wait for the Ruble to drop even more so I can go on holiday and been the Western version of Xerxes because exchange rate.
snipe
"These sanctions on Russia aren't doing anything" "Economic crisis" "not doing anything"
Ruble? More like Rubble.
"These sanctions on Russia aren't doing anything" "Economic crisis" "not doing anything"
I thought it was because of oil?
remember when kudrin talked about this a couple weeks back back when we were only 160 billion dollars in debt and before we decided to throw billions of dollars to stablize the ruble and then spent millions on fighter planes and rockets for some reason and lent money to some french bank oh the good old days
I thought it was because of oil?
Putin said the oil price drops are part of the sanctions thanks to the US and Saudi Arabia conspiring against Russia, he said the economy crash was created by an external cause.
Putin said the oil price drops are part of the sanctions thanks to the US and Saudi Arabia conspiring against Russia, he said the economy crash was created by an external cause.
Cheap gas for us, I'm okay with it
Putin said the oil price drops are part of the sanctions thanks to the US and Saudi Arabia conspiring against Russia, he said the economy crash was created by an external cause.
Maybe he shouldn't have invaded other countries and shit.
I'm sad for all the people who just happen to live in Russia that are trying to get by.
Putin said the oil price drops are part of the sanctions thanks to the US and Saudi Arabia conspiring against Russia, he said the economy crash was created by an external cause.
They shouldn't have pissed off the countries they depend on then.
Pro-Putin Russians are already saying it's BS and Kudrin is a traitor.
Maybe he shouldn't have invaded other countries and shit.

They shouldn't have pissed off the countries they depend on then.
try explain that to the crazy Pro-Russians on FP "there's no crisis, what crisis, Crimea has always been Russian hah"
The sad thing is this isn't going to hurt Putin or any other high ranking officials or oligarchs. It's just going to hurt average Russian people who have nothing to do with the war in Ukraine. Hell, some Russian people don't even like Putin as hard as that may be to believe.
Alright, first of all, Kudrin is a whiny ex-goverment guy who got cut out from precios position, soo he bitches about goverment any second possible. Secondly, ruble already gained after that huge drop on black tuesday. Crisis yeah, recession yeah, but Kudrin only wishes things to go even worse as a member of opposition and i just can't take this guy seriously and neither should you.
You know what's funny? THe beggining of XX century began almost like this. Government and church became the one corrupting beast, that seen citizens as resource, not people. Never listened, never thought about what will be in future. I hope I don't need to remind what happened next. [editline]22nd December 2014[/editline] And yes, Kudrin is a butthurt asshole, so don't listen to him. He is somewhat right, but makes it a huge deal.

Out of the two, I'll believe Kudrin, even though I don't like him and don't really trust him all that much.
It doesn't really require trust, an economy crashes whether or not you believe it will.
Secondly, ruble already gained after that huge drop on black tuesday.
Except shittons of reserves have already been wasted and the economy is in recession, and will continue to be in recession for at least two years.
Putin said the oil price drops are part of the sanctions thanks to the US and Saudi Arabia conspiring against Russia, he said the economy crash was created by an external cause.
He didn't say "ITS US AND SAUDIS". He just said it was causted by external causes, sanctions and overall world situation. Not like I am defending him or anything, but if you referer to his words at least don't misinterpret them to oblivion.
