Hi, I'm looking for a tablet, could someone reccomend me some or tell me which of these tablets would be the better choice? Sony Xperia Z4 seems like the best choice? Ipad pro 9.7" (not sure about this one, although I do enjoy the ability to use a pencil and draw, write on the tablet.) samsung galaxy s2 9.7" supposedly the battery life on this one isn't very good. google pixel C (don't know a lot about this one.) any insights would be great and I'd appreciate some reccomendations of different tablets of equal quality if there is any.
What do you want to use the tablet for?
general use. Youtube videos, the occasional movie, browsing the internet, writing emails, music, bit of everything really. I travel a fair bit so it would be useful as a portable computer away from home and around the house when I'm sitting down in the living room.
Personally, i'd invest into an iPad as it just works and it does everything you want without trouble. If you're up for it, try jailbreaking it aswell for the extra customisation (i.e. YouTube++ and other tweaks to enhance experience.)
with android n coming up soon, the pixel c is now a lot more viable personally i'd go with the pixel over an ipad but that's just me
I got a lenovo mixx 3, dont underestimate these quad core atoms. I mean being windows means i can do anything want with it, runs haloCE and even fallout 3. Posting on it right now from Chrome. Game streaming from steam is pretty baller too

Note that they tend to scale better with multi-threaded programs, which anything modern fortunately. Morrowind ran like a dog when I tried it. :v: My Dell Venue 8 even came with a full MS Office H&S license which is a pretty fantastic value add-in. Though I tend to stick to Edge for web browsing as its a bit more touch friendly and light on resources.
Ipad looks like the choice... I don 't really intend to play any games on the tablet, at least, anything other than some simple tablet games. I have a desktop computer for bigger games. [editline]3rd April 2016[/editline] Anyone got anything that is similar to the tablets I suggested in the main post? this threads been really helpful so far but I mainly want to stick to an android/apple tablet. I've tried windows on tablets and don't really like it.
Probably biased because of where I'm posting from, but I'd go with the iPad (posting from 64GB Mini 4). The interfaces are smooth, it's easy to use, polished, battery life is decent (you can play 3D games all day long without having to recharge it), retina screen is nice and the available apps are also nice. Safari works well with these newer models. Earlier iPads sucked because every time you switched tabs the pages would have to reload, but newer iPads have enough RAM so that it rarely needs to reload pages. It's easy to set up email accounts in the Mail app. I have my Gmail, live email and my university email all connected. Apple gives everyone its office suite for free, too. Can't say I've used it though, as I use Office 365 instead. There are some decent games, even if you're not yet into that. Eg there's GTA 3, VC, SA, LCS and Chinatown Wars, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, this racing game called Real Racing 3, the Telltale games, and heaps more obviously. But just be wary because for every decent game, it's buried under a pile of a hundred horeshit games made by obscure Chinese developers. [editline]3rd April 2016[/editline] And for gods sakes, if you buy an iPad, don't update iOS on it. I did that with my iPad Mini 2; went from a device which ran really well to something where you couldn't even type on the keyboard without a 3 second delay between pressing the screen and the text appearing. Apple is very lucky that I decided to come back for another iPad, but I learnt my lesson.

Ipad pro 9.7 lets go
Keep in mind Android N is adding true multitasking if you would find that useful. Also you can get 25% off the pixel c by signing up for a developer discount (you only need to give you email and don't actually need to be a developer) https://pixel.google.com/developer-discount/
I've been struggling to find a tablet that works. At least for me, Windows 10 tablets aren't great. I had a HP Stream 7 and a Surface 3 which, trust me when I say that Windows ran fine on both of them, the software just isn't anywhere near as nice for true tablet usage. And Android tablets have been floundering for a bit; and while the Pixel C is nice hardware, I don't think it's worth buying it based on the features shown in N. It's always an option to wait and see how well the advertised features will work on release, but it's up to you if it's worth that wait. Me, personally, I ended up buying an iPad mini 4, 64GB. 16GB is useless these days, so you shouldn't get a 16GB tablet of any brand or OS. I am preferential to iPads because in iOS the tablet app ecosystem is much more established - there are more tablet-optimized apps that actually work well. I ended up replacing my Surface 3 with a real laptop a while back, since the hybrid thing just didn't work that well. Surface 3 was not a great tablet and far from a great laptop.
I recommend iPad, it's good, I have been use it for nearly two years, and it does not occur any problems.
