OH MY GOD. Now Planetary Annihilation finally beat both Supreme Commanders.

I'm not sure I'd go quite that far, but a friend and I (both KS backers) had a game of it last night and it is finally an enjoyable experience.
(Even if my strategy of slamming planets into our enemies was maybe a little too effective)

I would, as I enjoy space and Supreme Commander, Planetary Annihilation was my obvious choice. It just lacked experimental units.
it's interesting that they released this as a standalone title instead of dlc

Gives them an excuse to charge out the wazoo because Human Resources wasn't funded.
I am kind of gutted about this, I didn't back the kickstarter but I did pick it up in early access... and this expansion sounds like it will bring it much closer than the game I had always hoped it would turn in to. To say I was disappointed with the state it was declared "done" in is an understatement but I'm reluctant to drop more cash on it
the somewhat short answer to "why do i have to pay more waaaa money entitlement" is:
a. PA was released too early, and the steam reviews are shitty as a result, full of people who tried it then never came back
b. early access was never about buying the future product, it's about buying what's available right now. early access doesn't make any promises of "here's what it could be"
I backed it via paypal during the kickstarter. But no word on whether I get it too and the dev seemingly avoided to answer me on the forum and went over my post.

I'm sorry but the majority of early access games are sold as "Here's what it could be". That's the entire point of early access, you're buying the incomplete game because you want to help the game become "what it could be". It's fucking stupid and many early access games are either scams or poorly managed and never finish, but that's the way it actually functions.

Shockingly, people don't like games being released essentially unfinished only for the better, fixed version to be sold to them again for basically full asking price. It's not entitlement it's greedy business practices.
I supported them with $200 dollar through their own store when it was in alpha and I won't get this "update" for free? Disgusting, what a fucking great way to show your love towards your backers.
I even have the fucking PA Founding Commander badge.

Dumb. It's said backers gets it for free.

Shit, seriously? They're not giving it to you if you backed outside of kickstarter?
That's straight fucked.
Honestly PA still is way too utterly slow. Despite the updates the inclusion of the orbital layer and multiple planets was a huge huge huge mistake. Sp probably going to shell out the cash for this.

even if this was true, great achievement, you managed to beat a game that came out 8 years ago
shame it also isn't true

Can we stop with this silly "gamer entitlement" thing, if consumers feel ripped off and feel like a company is being dodgy it's perfectly valid for them to express that, that's how business works.
