So i'm now using 2 monitors but whilst the first is playing games in full screen If i use the second one i defocuses, is their a way to do it?
Full screen res windowed game. Or with noborder.
Run your games in windowed mode, windows also only supports one focused window.
No border. Isnt there a register hack or some shit?
Yeah that always bothered me. What makes it worse is not all games/fullscreen applications support -noborder, so you end up with either borders on your second monitor, or windows forces the top of the application window onscreen, which cuts off the bottom of the application. You can't win!
Only works in source games afaik, but add -noborder to game launch settings. It has to be in windowed mode too.
Windows mode it is Yep that does what i want exactly, the no border is awesome too.

The only thing that bothers me is that it's application dependent and not just another -command within windows itself. I think there needs to be a way to force it.
Luckily, more games support the borderless option nowadays. Usually called "Fixed Window".
Remember that running in windowed mode will hurt your in game frame rate. I just alt-tab, only takes 2 seconds for the game to come back.
Dude, I really couldn't care less if i lose a few fps, I want to see what the game is doing, if im searching for games ect, not keep checking.
I've found a program that turns any program borderless. I'll post it tomorrow. [editline]4th February 2012[/editline] I'm also using 2 screens.
Remember that running in windowed mode will hurt your in game frame rate. Best thing when I play MP, the game doesn't stop and people have to wait till I alt-tab back. Or Garry's Mod, alt-tab will crash my GMod, playing in window mode and simply click outside works. Plus I get better FPS in window mode with a lower res instead of fullscreen. (off curse not when you are outside the window.)

There's no logical backing to it hurting your framerate, either. Some kind of source? Most people who have trouble with games have a fix with windowed mode, not the other way around. But in that case, it shouldn't make a noticeable visible difference.
V-Sync is not forced on for me when I am playing in windowed mode.
Perfect thanks!
