Well , only things I have are a spare HDD , which I don't need and a netbook. Is there a way to install Linux ( Prefer Ubuntu) on a usb hard drive?
If you have linux already installed. It's possible to boot an ISO with grub. You'll be able to boot the ISO and install like you normally would. One thing you need to watch out for is distros like ubuntu who will never consult you on the placement of GRUB. This will essentially overwrite the MBR on the main HDD fucking up your shit.
Are you able to install linux from a USB stick?
