Hello,
So after years of reliable operation, my 8800GTS has finally kicked the bucket after a splinter cell: conviction session.
I get these weird lines all over the place - you know the general signs of a dead graphics card (I'll probably give the oven bake thing a go)
Anyway, fortunately I have an onboard graphics module as well as this 8800GTS. I was simply wondering what I must do to enable the onboard output.
I tried disabling the 8800GTS in the device manager and restarting to no avail. Since I don't have time to fiddle about with various things (I have a few exams coming up) if someone could give me a list of things to do to get the onboard working again that would save me a lot of time.
It looks like the drivers for the onboard have been removed.
Thanks very much!
Take it out.

Seriously? Now I feel stupid
I skimmed a few articles and got the impression I had to uninstall the drivers for the 8800, then safe mode and re-install the onboard drivers and all that
But if you say so, there's no harm trying....
Cheers
Edit: turned it on this morning, it randomly started working again. But for how much longer? Time will tell
