I have never seen this DLL before and it doesnt open. No other computer I have seen has it either, googling does nothing. The names in google suggest that this isnt supposed to be named that. Google correction thinks I mean for srsvc.dll Someone please help me?
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline] We've tryed getting it from other computers issued by the building but none of them have it. [editline]7th November 2010[/editline] I think I may be on to something, what if you got a virus that used a fake DLL, and made windows open it on startup, but anti-virus deleted it, so now the DLL won't run.
All you need to know is that is not a native windows file, and it's associated master is most likely malicious. Do a virus scan to find it's master.
Could him destroying norton have to do with it? Besides the vulnerability?
run MSCONFIG and see if it's set to start when Windows starts. If so, try disabling it there.
Or do a scan with Malware Bytes in SAFE MODE
srovcs.dll is a rubbish DLL. it does lmost nothing. it's a neglectable error. you can disable these errors: go to cmd (as admin)and type this: “regsvr32 /u srovcs.dll"
So it's just some shitty DLL that does nothing? [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Fuck
[B☢NK!*]Mercz37((GLC)): lol [B☢NK!]VenomousBeetle: how did you fix it [B☢NK!*]Mercz37((GLC)): made a new dll in c++ and made it do nothing [B☢NK!]VenomousBeetle: ಠ_ಠ
If it was I know by now.

now it's telling me there is a missing entry:startup
