Clashes erupted between activists and security forces as hundreds of officers entered the outpost built illegally on privately-owned Palestinian land. More than 15 people were arrested amid the High Court of Justice-ordered move to remove those living in Amona. A spokesman from Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem, three police officers were being treated for their wounds, including two with moderately wounded from liquid thrown at their eyes. Ahead of the long-awaited eviction of the illegal outpost, settlers poured oil on the main road leading to Amona to make it difficult for security forces to reach them. About 200 activists, the majority of which were youth and teenagers, were protesting at the entrance to Amona. About 10 buses were in the vicinity slated to take away the Amona families before the outpost is demolished per an order by the High Court of Justice. According to the Israeli police spokesperson's office, 28 buildings have so far been evacuated. Meirav Lapidot, the commander spokesperson of the Israeli Police, told The Jerusalem Post that the evacuation would continue overnight. "We were trained for this, and we have the means to do it overnight. There is no deadline set for the end of the evacuation because a deadline would stress security forces during this delicate mission." The police announced that in total thus far, 24 police officers have been wounded, and security forces have removed 400 activists.
From a CNN article:
Amid the evacuation, Naftali Bennett -- the right-wing Jewish Home party leader and Education Minister in Benjamin Netanyahu's government -- told his supporters to move beyond the perceived setback of the outpost's clearance. "From the ruins of Amona we will move to build a new settlement. From this mountain we will move towards applying Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria," he said, using the biblical terms for the West Bank.

From a CNN article:
Nope. No religious influence in Israel government. Not at all. I find it interesting that the title says "Evacuating". They are not evacuating settlers, that would imply settlers are looking forward to that, but they are being evicted. Throw them out. Good riddance. Shame they're getting a staggering amount of money for actually having to face repercussions for their own crimes.

Not really a secret...
