Director Todd Phillips had been assuring us of this all along, but some of the stars seemed non-plussed at the idea in interviews. In a sign of his love for the original flick, Bradley Cooper even backed out of McG’s rom-com This Means War because it clashed with the Hangover sequel’s proposed July shooting date. Each of the actors will earn a pay cheque of $5m, which kicks dirt in the eyes of their original pay day of just $1m. Where would the plot take them? Phillips isn’t saying much about rumours that the guys would have an adventure in Thailand, stating: “I don’t know. There’s a lot of rumors. There was rumor also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true.” The first Hangover was last year’s surprise hit, taking a worldwide haul of $467m on a budget of just $34m. It went on to scoop the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
Comedy sequels never come out good.
Oh god, why? It's classic, just leave it as it is... Classic!
Another one? I didn't think the first one was really that funny, or good.
Another one? I didn't think the first one was really that funny, or good.
Hey, was Disagree Man your alt?
I'm going to reserve judgment on this one, it has the original cast and director. Could turn out pretty good.
I don't even know how they could continue the hang over. It closed up quite well. What's it going to do, show their crazy night they all forgot?

Its not like if the sequel is shitty its going to ruin the 1st one. I say they should at least try. Hopefully it will be better than the first.
The first one wasn't that funny.

I like all of Todd Phillip's films.
This movie is a classic
The first one wasn't that funny.
You're not that funny.
Another one? I didn't think the first one was really that funny, or good.
it was overhyped to shit which just absolutely ruined it sadly I waited untill 5 months after it was out to see it so every stupid motherfucker that praised it as the newest form of Citizen Kane had time to drone in my fucking ear about how good it was it was okay. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was better.
Another one? I didn't think the first one was really that funny, or good.
Funny with friends. Not funny alone.
I'm glad that another is being made. Even if it turns out to be a big steaming pile of crap, I would rather they made a sequel purely on the chance that it does turn out good. It's not going to kill me if it's not.

What the hell is this one gonna be about?
This thread is concrete proof %99 of Facepunch is a mass of loud, overly-opinionated idiots who will never grasp what an ''OPINION'' is.
My personal view is that almost all comedy sequels suck, so I am going to guess that this sequel will not be as good as the first by a long shot.
Hell no, the first was awesome. Don't spoil it.
I think first one was meh, won't even bother seeing the second one.
great, another piece of shit sequel for a piece of shit movie
It was pretty funny for a new comedy but this movie is extremely overrated
Looking forward to this, even though some comedy sequels are shit doesn't mean every sequel is going to be shit.
I hope they dont kill it.
Ahhh, unnecessary sequels...
Lets hope production doesn't get hungover.
