Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is raising questions about the surprise cancellation of a town hall meeting in West Virginia, which was scheduled for Monday morning and to be filmed from a MSNBC special. In a statement, Sanders said that a National Guard armory that had been booked for the town hall had canceled without explanation, and that the network was unable to find a new venue on short notice. “If anyone in West Virginia government thinks that I will be intimidated from going to McDowell County, West Virginia, to hold a town meeting, they are dead wrong,” Sanders said in a statement. “If they don’t allow us to use the local armory, we’ll find another building. If we can’t find another building, we’ll hold the meeting out in the streets. That town meeting will be held. Poverty in America will be discussed. Solutions will be found.” The town hall meeting was set to be held in McDowell County, the poorest part of West Virginia, with the highest rate of drug overdose in the state and the lowest life expectancy of any county in the United States — 64 years. In November, Donald Trump won 74.1 percent of the vote in the county, but in the Democratic primary six months earlier, Sanders won 55.2 percent of the vote. This man didn't win the nomination yet I still see him in the news every week. Really shows you how the country fucked up its chance with him.
Oh fuck something stinks really something. It starting feel like the Primary shit again. Guys Watch the DNC really closely now.
lowest life expectancy of any county in the United States — 64 years
Jesus christ I did not think it was anywhere that low in the entire country
Jesus christ I did not think it was anywhere that low in the entire country
Did mission work there several times. Place is absolutely fucked. And to think it had the most millionaires per capita of any county in the US at the turn of the 20th century.

People in this state seem to think that "making more coal jobs" will fix the problems this state has, and it's like they don't understand that all the coal is gone. We need to move on to new industries if we want to make this state worth living in

I don't want to say "reap what you sow" but there's a little of it there. Still, it's beautiful, wild country, and if you have the chance to see it I'd take it.
This man didn't win the nomination yet I still see him in the news every week. Really shows you how the country fucked up its chance with him.
It shows something that every candidate who screamed about caring back in 2008 basically disappeared from the headlines and didn't make their voice as loud as The Bern is now after Obama won. Meanwhile Bernie's old as fuck and still fighting as hard as ever.
This man didn't win the nomination yet I still see him in the news every week. Really shows you how the country fucked up its chance with him.
People wanted him. The DNC however didn't.
People wanted him. The DNC however didn't.
The DNC is filled with hypocrites, racketeers, and triads. I am not surprised they voted for a profiteer like Clinton and doomed us all to an era of Sodom.

Clinton is going to run in 2020, and has told the DNC to give her primary win again, or 2. She is now controlling the DNC behind the scenes as a shadow party.
Sanders said that a National Guard armory that had been booked for the town hall had canceled without explanation, and that the network was unable to find a new venue on short notice.
To be fair the military NG or otherwise have EXTREMELY strict policies on political neutrality and political freedoms of Service members. This could have something to do with it, they could have booked it for a town hall with the guy at the armory who took the booking not knowing any better. Has the Armory been used for political events before? [editline]d[/editline] Yep, thought as much.
they were told belatedly that the venue could not host a political event.
Not anything against Bernie, while it was a fuckup on the armory's side they probably booked it and then realized they couldn't do it so it's not like it was intentional. Hard Bernie supporters are still going to eat this shit up as some stupid conspiracy against him.
rumors formed by the_donald and /pol/, obviously. theres no actual evidence behind any of this.
Politico of all sites has entertained this notion.

After that shut down, it became the biggest shit hole on the map.
Politico of all sites has entertained this notion.
Garbo opinion pieces can come from anywhere.
People wanted him. The DNC however didn't.
I don't understand why some people seem to think that Democrats prefer Bernie over Hillary and that the corrupt DNC totally SNATCHED the nomination out of the Bernster's hands. She had almost 4 million more votes than him in the primaries.
She had almost 4 million more votes than him in the primaries.
Did the leaks not indicate that the DNC was interfering with his campaign in an attempt to assure Clinton's nomination? At the end of the day he might of been old and slightly more accustomed to waving a cane and telling kids to get off his lawn but Hilliary was a flat-out crooked bitch.

She also already had the support of the super delegates in the party. Like, the DNC picked her, and forced the hand of the people. The overwhelming majority of polls in the primary season showed Bernie beating literally every one else.
This man didn't win the nomination yet I still see him in the news every week. Really shows you how the country fucked up its chance with him.
he's with the government and he's here to help.

Man, that made me so angry.
I still remember that leaked email between these two DNC persons wondering whether they should expose Bernie as a "Socialist Jew" or that he was an "Atheist". Man, that made me so angry.
I've recently become involved in my local Democratic Party, and I can assure you, I have made it known loudly and in no uncertain terms to them that I am a socialist and that I believe the future of the party lies in the embrace of the populist left. The kicker? I wasn't the only one..."Hillary was a flawed candidate. How can you be for the working people when you are cozying up to Wall Street?" came from another Democrat there. Centrism and neoliberalism failed the working class of this country, hard. It seems that there are many Democrats who understand this, but sadly, also many who don't. The U.S. only has a far-right and centre-left party. The left in this country (progressives, socialists, social democrats, etc) gets no real representation in government. That needs to change.
