Because people are probably going to be talking about it for a week, I might as well post it here Source: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2012092400/2012/REG3/packers@seahawks?module=HP11_headline_stack#menu=highlights&tab=recap (Please note there is a video that autoplays)
SEATTLE -- Russell Wilson threw a disputed 24-yard touchdown to Golden Tate on the final play of the game, and the Seattle Seahawks rallied to beat the Green Bay Packers 14-12 on Monday night in a controversial ending. Wilson scrambled from the pocket and threw to the corner of the end zone as the clock expired. Tate shoved Green Bay's Sam Shields out of the way, then wrestled with M.D. Jennings for possession. It was ruled on the field as a touchdown and after a lengthy review, referee Wayne Elliott came out from under the hood and announced "the ruling on the field stands" and CenturyLink Field erupted in celebration. Both teams left the field before being brought back out to attempt the point after touchdown. The delay was nearly 10 minutes.
People are bitching at the refs for being shit this game, but personally, I'm still bitter about the shit refs costing us the Super Bowl win a few years ago, so as far as I'm concerned they can suck it up.
Packers got fucked over by refs. Nuff said. [editline]24th September 2012[/editline] http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0ap2000000066000/WK-3-Can-t-Miss-Play-Seahawks-Hail-Mary
Jennings TOTALLY had that shit. That call made me so pissed off. Unbelievable.
the whole game was just a mess
I turned the game on at the 2 minute warning. Holy shit that was an intense 10 minutes. And a total farce at the end. Seahawks should have sent the mascot out to make the pointless kick.

it looks like they both had it at the same time.
Russell Wilson has become the first QB in the history of the NFL to throw a game winning interception :v:
it looks like they both had it at the same time.
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:8422506 On touch down they have to review the play they did and got the same result these are replacement refs.
Not even close. Jennings is clearly in possession there. Hell, they even did a fucking video review and still didn't overturn the call. It's inexcusable.
Refs just sucked ass that game
Not even close. Jennings is clearly in possession there. Hell, they even did a fucking video review and still didn't overturn the call. It's inexcusable.
Yeah I see he had it now, football is full of stupid ass calls though, one of the reasons I really get annoyed watching the sport. It seems every fucking play they have a flag and make the game even more boring to watch. They should just make football like Blitz. That would be awesome.
They should just redo. Everyone come back tomorrow for a rematch.
Simultaneous Catch. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball.
Go Seattle.
Go Seattle.
But Jennings had the ball in his possession first and never muffed it, bullshit call even though I love the Seahawks.
But Jennings had the ball in his possession first.
You don't gain possession mid air.
"It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control" I don't even think Golden Tate had possession at any time.
Poor packers the pictures on facebook are already up too lol

Most controversial call in the NFL in years. Total bogus. Packers were robbed, day will live in infamy. [editline]24th September 2012[/editline]
I don't think so, it will probably blow over in a week when emotions are less charged.
Colts, Patriots, Steelers, and now the Packers have lost a game due to piss poor refs! Bullshit! (Colts fan)
It's not the replacement refs fault. It's the NFL's fault for not negotiating with the official referees. The replacements are hardly qualified to referee pro games.

Posts all over the place on facebook about it
Fun fact : NFL refs are on strike right now. Those are refs from the college NCAA thats doing the refs for the nfl this year.
I was playing video-games looking the other way when it happened. The noise that followed nearly deafened me.
As a Bears fan I'm ok with this, but as an NFL fan we need the refs back.
Fun fact : NFL refs are on strike right now. Those are refs from the college NCAA thats doing the refs for the nfl this year.
I don't follow football. What are they striking over?
