Police decided to call in all three parties, including the parrot. However, reportedly remained silent while in police custody and did not swear at Janabai in front of the officers. "There is a dispute over land and property between the woman and her stepson. We watched the parrot carefully but it did not utter a word at the police station after being confronted by the complainant," the local Police Inspector told reporters. The matter has now been passed from police to forest department officials.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/parrot-detained-by-indian-police-after-hurling-obscenities-at-85yearold-woman-10461725.html Not that pet parrots should be afraid of getting jailed, considering they're already in jail.
Criminal scum
My family owns a Blue and Gold Macaw that swears all the time. I remember a few years back trying to shake the little git off the top of a door to stop him eating the wallpaper, after nearly making him fall he screeched "FUCK OFF! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!". That was me told.
Wow, just... wow, no words.
"CAW! Am I being detained? Am I being detained?? CAWW!"

According to a Belgian news source, the parrot was taken from the owner and is now in an animal shelter. (For those interested, http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/959/Bizar/article/detail/2428207/2015/08/19/Papegaai-gearresteerd-wegens-uitschelden-bejaarde-vrouw.dhtml) I don't see anything about that in OP's source, aside from "working with forest department officials", so there's that.
I had a friend whose parrot was trained to swear as well. When you talked to him in a stern voice he would call himself a piece of shit for having done something wrong.
put him on the chair
Oh man, speaking of parrots. The place I work at has a parrot for about a week or less (he's been there for nearly a month now) which we take care of while the owners are on vacation. So far we managed to learn him to say 'hello' on the most ridiculous tone you can think of, and we're also trying to learn him 'slacker'.
if anything, the should`ve detained the owner if they were so thrilled
