I was messing around with the sound and I tried "Room Correction" and did the microphone test. now my audio and sound sounds like shit, I can only hear the instruments in music not the vocals. is there a way I can reverse it? I've been trying to do this for a couple of hours already, even tried System Restore. Any help at all would be appreciated!

His problem is very odd, I checked it out myself.
He isn't claiming anything magical, I have heard this myself. It sounds as if the bass has been boosted, and as if the operating system's default equalizer has been altered to make everything sound shitty. And oddly enough, the vocals are hard to hear over everything else.
This is not the head set, as we have tried other headphones and speakers.
The jack itself cannot be damaged, because that would not cause this sort of problem.
I doubt the mother board is broken, otherwise something else would have probably failed as well.
I hope with these details, someone can help him.

Sounds like a software problem, try reinstalling all the software (including drivers) for the sound card.
This may sound stupid, but did you try disabling the effects?
he did disable effects, and this is onboard sound.

Even onboard sound cards still sometimes have special software.
