Just out of curiousity; what are your other specs?
As of now: HAF 922, Asus P6T, i7 930, 6GB XMS3, Gigabyte HD 5970, 1TB Deskstar HDD, 1000 watt silverstone psu, Liquid cooling, some lite on dvd drive and win 7 home premium
Get a ruler and measure it yourself, lazy
What the fuck is going on here, it seems like a legit question. [editline]08:32PM[/editline] W/e i just found the dimensions of the HAF, a HD 5970 is like 13.5" right? [editline]08:35PM[/editline] And I dont have the case nor card yet so im not an idiot.
What the hell would you be using a 5970 for? Bragging?
Troll
Ugh, thats like the biggest midi case.
What the fuck is going on here, it seems like a legit question.
No. It isn't, here are my steps of logic. Judging from the size from this video, http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/28935-cooler-master-haf-932-amd-edition-video-review.html The case can fit a standard motherboard. If your motherboard has a PCI-E slot, the graphics card can go there, otherwise that'd be dumb to make a graphics card NOT work in a regular PCI-E slot. ALSO The video given above actually does mention it CAN fit the 5970 at 4:50
what the fuck people he asked a legitimate question, yes it will fit assholes [editline]05:06PM[/editline]
No. It isn't, here are my steps of logic.
What the hell would you be using a 5970 for? Bragging?
Jee I wonder what would a person use a video card for :downs:
What the hell would you be using a 5970 for? Bragging?
Better framerates?
Metro 2033? I asked a legitimate quistion, aswell :downs:
What the hell would you be using a 5970 for? Bragging?
You should check out some of the systems over at Overclock.net, now that's bragging material :v:

He said YES IT DOES FIT. That seems like a legit answer to me. What is the point of the question then if he missed it? AND YES IT WILL FIT. [editline]9:51PM[/editline]
HAF Dimensions:(WxDxH):10 in x 19.8 in x 22.2 in http://reviews.cnet.com/cases/cooler-master-haf-922/4505-3030_7-33676824.html

5970 Length: The card itself is longer than a fourth-grade piano recital, measuring out to 12.16 http://techreport.com/articles.x/17986
he added on that it wasn't too long like it was some kind of after thought, and dimensions aren't everything, you still have to account for hard drive cages and other shit
I would like to know why you are using the HAF922 and not the HAF932 for this build. A full tower case is nice to have for major builds. But yes, the HD5970 does fit in the HAF922 according to newegg reviews. You could also wait a bit and get the Corsair 600T, nicest mid-tower case I have seen in a while. The hard drive cage is movable for even larger cards. It has 2 200mm and a 120mm fan in it. A great system for wire management that keeps it neat and simple. You can access the back of the motherboard while its in place. It also has a built in fan controller. It also has USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case.
That's a Thermaltake Element S?
That's a Thermaltake Element S?
You sniped my edit.
I cant buy any other case, im on the strictest budget ever, not a cent over $2000 :(
If your budget's that high get dual GTX480s. And that's a gigantic budget.

I got my 800D from Microcenter for $210, it was normally $280. Before you know it Microcenter will have it on sale for $100.
How exactly does rebate work? I never really understood it.
How exactly does rebate work? I never really understood it.
I'll just let the Corsair how-to explain.
Purchase the following product at newegg.ca or newegg.com and receive a Rebate Card by mail: Product Amount CC700D $40.00 In order to receive your rebate card by mail: 1. Purchase a(n) CC700D between July 1st, 2010 and August 2nd, 2010 at newegg.ca or newegg.com. 2. Go to corsairmemory.rebateaccess.com and enter the promotion number 32179. 3. Fill out and print the pre-registration form for this promotion. 4. Cut out and enclose the ORIGINAL UPC code located on the back side of the paper insert or product packaging. 5. Enclose a copy of the sales receipt or packing slip dated between July 1st, 2010 and August 2nd, 2010 indicating your purchase at newegg.ca or newegg.com. 6. Mail all of these items to the address noted on the pre-registration form. Submission must be postmarked within 21 days of purchase and no later than August 23rd, 2010 in order to qualify. Do NOT use this form for submittal as it is for instructions and information only.
Then they send you a check for $40 in the mail, usually takes some time to get it. They are great for budget builds.
