What are some tips to help focus the camera?

if you want a good picture i say you drop the camera into the tank and take the picture that way.
Also it's very obvious the flash is used. Flash is almost never good to use in photography unless you are using it for general every-day camera shots or aren't using the camera for "artistic" purposes but still want to see. This is because it adds an additional (unnatural) lightsource to the scene that is very bright, and generally looks pretty ugly. If a scene is too dark I suggest adjusting ISO values, and manually adjusting aperature/shutter speed times if that's the kind of camera you have.
