A Woman Trying to Do a Drug Deal Accidentally Texted a Cop
I feel for drug dealers, I really do. They have to juggle countless phone numbers, make sure strangers aren't cops and always stay on guard. I'm surprised more people don't slip up! Like this woman, she was trying to set up a drug deal but accidentally texted the wrong number—that number ended up belonging to a cop.
Amy Leigh Brown, the 35-year-old woman drug dealer with poor technological skills, foolishly punched in the wrong digits when she sent the text, 'Hey, it's Amy. Do you want business tonight?'. That wrong number was actually the phone number of a police officer who became curious and played along. Amy texted back saying she was selling some 'bones' (Xanax) and described the car she would be in so the officer could find her. She was promptly arrested.
Amy, who's from Scooby Doo Drive (!) in Marion, North Carolina, is probably feeling a little ripped off. And that's fair, what are the odds of that happening? Misfired texts happen all the time but misfiring on a cop? Bad, bad luck. Next time Amy, start with an innocuous text and build from there. A patient drug dealer is a free drug dealer.
Wow, that's sad.
Haha something like that happened to me once, we played along and got the name of his dealer and we recorded his phone number. He still thinks we deal aderoll to this day.

Says the journalist with poor writing skills.
My girlfriend gets a call every month from a gasta' sounding guy looking for Marvin' cus he has his stuff.
She lives on Scooby Doo Drive and was selling "bones".
You can't make this shit up.
And I would have gotten away with it, had it not been for that meddling cop!
Cop probably thought she was a hooker at first.
Now I really want to scare the hell out of some drug dealers and text them I'm a cop pretending I am someone they know at first.

Officially the coolest street name ever.
i thought it was commonplace for a text to a dealer to be "hey is this *insert dealers name here*"
not just send texts randomly asking about drugs
serves her right

She was texting cutomers though, not other way around
The cop would have just said "wrong number", if she hadn't said the obvious right away. Always take caution

Now how do we know she was a drug dealer? She could have been selling bones in Runescape.

"I swear officer! I met him in Varrock! He said he had b-bones for 200g each!"

Not sure if I should be disgusted or intrigued by the fact I recognized those as dragon bones.
Meanwhile, the officer in question:

This just makes me facepalm in so many ways.

Scooby doo drive, selling bones. Would have been more funny if her name was Daphne or Wilma.

Nope, copper. I don't remember weapons going as low as wood in that game.
Not that I played it or anything. <.< >.>

Bronze actually.
Now that Scooby Doo and drugs are in one thread, I realized I'm kinda surprised Scooby Snacks is not a drug term

Childhood game.

Bronze as a sword material, for a town guard, that's still pretty shitty.
