They don't have to shoehorn in characters in from the last few movies, there's only so many ways you can put the same people on the same island.
I still say they should have the plot revolve around the crew of a Coast Guard vessel catching black market dealers in the act of taking Dinosaurs off the island, then being stranded by the dealers and left to die after a confrontation.
Please don't let the new characters be underdeveloped bland stereotypes. Please.
How about an original movie with an original storyline and plot? instead of trying to build off that before......look what happened to Jurassic Park 3....

Sam Niell could have had such a glorious career if he had the right roles. He had potential to be a really great actor.

I don't know what exactly happened but now he's reduced to a wheelchair and needs a helper to keep alive. It was either an accident or a stroke, but either way Attenborough's career is over.

He's got a pacemaker but I can't see anything else online suggesting that he's in any sort of bad health

Wikipedia says he's been confined to a wheelchair since having a stroke in 2008. He now lives in a nursing home with his wife because their health has deteriorated to the point where they need full time care. Happy now?

They don't have to, but I think they could pull it off if they had the right writers etc. That's a pretty neat idea too by the way.

That's okay. He wasn't my favorite part of any of the movies, and plus, he's not even in the books outside of the first one.
I just hope the new movie has an opening scene where a character tries to use their cellphone to take a picture of a dinosaur, but the dinosaur scares them. So they drop the phone and run. Then, somehow, the dinosaur picks up the phone and accidentally takes a selfie that gets automatically uploaded to the person's instagram and that's how his or her family finds out they're alive and where they are(photo metadata with GPS). Then the rest of the story writes itself from there.

He is a really great actor. He's just too humble for his own good. He even turned down being a Sir because it was "just far too grand, by far".
