The plot thickens!
Didn't he get dozens of those when he was first elected?
Interesting. I worried first that a Democrat supporter had sent the first letter, as it was addressed to a Republican Senator. But now this makes no sense.
Someone is fucking hardcore with the gov right now
it was obviously north korea
How do you find a letter to be 'suspicious'? How does the government even handle letters it receives? I'm guessing it probably isn't directly handed to the president without being checked first.

The paper had a yellow hue.

I think it was Obama himself tbh, the connections are too glaringly obvious, plus I think the Chinese government and Microsoft are in on it too.
Have a feeling it could be the gun laws.
But I'm not going to assume things.

obviously.
he wont even see 99.9% of them
I blame EA. It's a very small jump between day-one DLC and terrorism

There's a very large group of people not just in the country, but in the world that do not support either party.
For all we know, the political party may not be the factor but a specific political stance.

You think?

Dumbass, have you even looked at Bigfoot/Obama lately? (Obama is bigfoot theory)

Notice the similar posture, hairy knuckles, and socialist tendencies. That's not the work of EA.
Bigfoot is trying to destroy America from the top down.
Seem's all sorts of stuff is going down in the US at the moment.
Resurgence of terrorism in the country?
How exactly is letter containing ricin meant to kill somebody?
Wiki told me you have to breathe ricin in (it's a solid protein), digest it, or get it into your bloodstream, to get fucked up. Do they expect the recipient to lick/snort the content of the letter?

Jewish extremists I'd say.

It's clearly Norse extremists angry at the Amerindians pushing their colony into the sea.

is a poison-laced letter really terrorism? i imagine at this point it's more like "hahaha okay you guys almost got me. maybe next time!" for the government

That these coincide with the attacks make it seem likely someone wants to shake the American people up. So yep, terrorism.

Maybe the envelope contained a scratch-and-sniff card.
"Hello Obama, can you please lick this spot?"
The article goes into a little bit about it -
No antidote exists for ricin poisoning and death could take from 36 to 72 hours after exposure. Ricin can be in the form powder, a mist or a pellet and can be dissolved in liquid.
I'm guessing if they could get it into a mist form somehow, the recipient could inhale it. But I find this extremely unlikely.

They coincide but could be completely unrelated.

I'm guessing the suspect is one of those "both sides of the same coin" kind of guy.
I think that there's some separatist nut group out there giggling at this shit.

All mail to the president and most congressmen/senators is screened for residue. That's how they find out there's something on it.

Reading the article...
"It was caught in the screening facility. That's why we have an off-site screening facility for mail," said Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, to CNN on Tuesday.
The envelope tested positive in a routine test, and in two other subsequent tests, law enforcement officials tell CNN.
McCaskill told Politico the letter came from a person who writes to lawmakers, but declined to identify the individual.
