When I try to right click recycle bin and click empty trash, It gives me an error saying "cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk" however when I go and open the recycle bin there is nothing there, and the icon still says full and the "empty recycle bin" option is still available. any idea's?

nope, didn't do a thing, also the recycle bin is the only thing on my desktop at the moment.
It's not that the icon will not change its that the files will not delete
put a file in and empty recycling bin.
Tried restarting your computer?
Usually the "Cannot read from the source file or disk" gets fixed after a restart.
