Local news sources have referred to the company on whose premises the worker killed in the blender was found dead as a “meat-processing plant with a troubled history,” and the company was cited as recently as October by Oregon’s Occupational Safety and Health Division when an inspector referenced a potential “unexpected start-up of the [blender] machine” due to the fact it was improperly secured for cleaning.
http://www.inquisitr.com/643588/worker-dies-in-blender-osha-to-investigate/ No words really, it is simply a horrific way to go.
I really wouldn't want to be the guys that have to clean that up.
Stories like this just make me go to pieces.
Stories like this just make me go to pieces.
Tasteless
Stories like this just make me go to pieces.
Damn, beat me too it
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuguhguhughughuguhurugugfd
Did it literally chop him into mince or was it stopped. Either way, holy shit.
I couldn't help but think of the 'Will it blend?' theme song when I read this. Then I cried a little.
What would said machinery look like? I need to know how much I should be cringing at this.
Stories like this just make me go to pieces.
Shitty puns really grinds my gears.

The rotating things blend the meat which then gets squeezed out from a sieve-like thing He probably just got crushed to death, rather than the fine meaty mess you all seem to be imagining.
I've worked at 2 meat processing facilities, and let me tell you, this would be a hell of a mess. Really unfortunate for everyone involved in the situation.
There's something very surreal about transforming into goo in a matter of seconds.
have you seen how they dump cows into those fine blenders? NSFW http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=11b_1254378345
Hello Hello Follow me Okay
I worked at Hill Shire brands for little over a year. Machines are always suppose to be locked out. If you gonna get inside of it or reach from something inside the machine with a part of your body it has to be locked out and disconnected from it's power source. On top of that you try to turn it on after both of the above have been done to ensure it's A). You run off any power B). Won't turn on if someone tries to.

Now it wont just be horse meat they are finding in the mince
I'm surprised nobody made the "Rest in pieces" joke yet
I literally just watched the x files episode in season two where this happens to a bunch of people in a processed meat factory. Weird how shit like that happens.

Like at all.

oh my gosh :( even if he fell in head first he would have still felt the pain for a fraction of a second, felt his skull cave in.. there is literally no painless way to go that way.. ugh imagining before your eyes are crushed you see peices of your skull being ground up :suicide:
Meat - now slightly more murderous than before
If you go to USDA website they show some 90's-00's footage of meat processing. Some of these video's are NSFW Food_Inspector_Part5a.mpg http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Videos/Food_Inspector_Part5a.mpg Food_Inspector_Part4a.mpg http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Videos/Food_Inspector_Part4a.mpg Food_Inspector_Part3a.mpg http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Videos/Food_Inspector_Part3a.mpg Food_Inspector_Part2a.mpg http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Videos/Food_Inspector_Part2a.mpg Food_Inspector_Part1a.mpg http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Videos/Food_Inspector_Part1a.mpg
