Hi guys, basically my computer was blue screening all over the show, along with it freezing seemingly at random. Months back I had an issue with my net card (I think) were if I was to download anything, my computer would temporarily freeze before resuming, this was really annoying and I figured it must of been the net card drivers. if I tried to update them, my PC would blue screen, I got round this by uninstalling them, then letting the PC re-install them itself. Everything was fine and dandy for a few days, until I started blue screening again, things like SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION. After the problems got worse to the point were my mouse and sound slowed down (music sounded like it was grainy and slow, speakers were popping playing it) I thought, screw the bastard I'll format the PC.
The actual issue as of now: After formatting the PC and just putting Steam on there, everything was fine until the day after, when I enjoyed a game of RO2 only for it to blue screen on me. Then the computer would restart itself trying to load my desktop, this happened about 5 times. Start up repair would often blue screen itself, and when it did roll back my PC, the computer would still eventually blue screen/restart itself and freeze. I should also note that the internet on my computer has gotten extremely slow at some points, were I'm downloading at 3.7 KB/S were I should be at 1.4 MB/S. Web pages also take a few ages to load up. This is why I'm thinking it could be my net card somehow as other computers in the house are absolutely fine with their connection. Right now I'm having trouble getting to desktop (Which I normally can do after several blue screens and automatic restarts) It's loaded my wallpaper, but no task bar or icons have appeared, I cant do anything which suggests its frozen there.
Here are just a couple of stop messages from the BSOD's I have : STOP: 0X0000001E (0XFFFFFFFFC 0000005, 0XFFFFF8000C03DC96, 0X0000000000000000, 0XFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF STOP: 0X0000001E (OXFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0X0000000000000000, 0X0000000000000008, 0X0000000000000000) Sorry if this came out poorly worded, but I'm anxious to get this fixed because I'll be needing my computer in the next week or so. Thanks for any help or advice given.
There's something seriously wrong with either the wireless card or the drivers you're installing on it.
Well, just formatted again, after restarting due to windows updates and video drivers, I'm getting the blank desktop again. I can see the wallpaper, no buttons, icons, no mouse nothing. It's like explorer.exe wont even load. It sounds similar to what I've heard some virus's do. But I've wiped my Hard drive clean and it still does it.
Oh, just uninstalled my ATI drivers and the desktop is back to normal (although blurry due to the lack of video drivers). I hope the cause for explorer not loading was me foolishly using bad drivers for the GFX card. Still no explanation onto the original problem though.
Update: Right so what the hell, updating my video drivers leads to the pc booting without icons, taskbar, mouse or anything.?
Talk to me on steam and I will help you (again)
I recommend you doing a Memtest86.
Faulty RAM can cause all kinds of errors, leading you in the wrong direction.

It seems to be somewhat stable right now except when the video drivers are installed, explorer does not launch.
Keeping the video drivers on as you said, just browsing the internet in safe mode atm.
UPDATE: I was freezing in safe mode, then I realized I stupidly was dual screening with my HDTV (Dual screening in the past led to internet connection dropping) I unplugged it. My icons and explorer works now upon reboot. However I still need to keep watch for BSOD's and freezing because it did that prior to me plugging in the lead to the tv.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Came back to find my computer in sleep mode as I left it for a while, after pressing the power button to resume, it froze logging back in. Restarting didn't help as it froze again on the desktop, another attempt just restarted my PC after logging in. I blue screened trying to use start up repair. Seems i'm back with my original problem.

Memtest86, these problems all sound familiar to me. In my case it was caused by one RAM module (in my server) that was broken.
