Česko-slovenský chat (Czecho-Slovak coversations) - Zlaté české ručičky!
49 replies, posted
Jelikož jsem tu našel pár celkem starých threadů s česko-slovenskou komunitou, rozhodl jsem se utvořit tak nový thread, který by měl zajistit jednotu české a slovenské FP komunity. Užijte si to. :v:
I want to learn Czech, anyone have any tips?
Don't. Seriously, if you don't plan on moving here, you are better on just using English.
do czechs feel their beers should have more praise in europe or atleast as much than belgiums and germanys?
I got drunk once. That's as far as I got with beer. But from what I heared, our beer is already praised more then enough. Even some guys in US heared about it. I think that should be enought for our egos.
Psát česky na Facepunch je divný.. :v:

Believe it or not, I used a dictionary and translated each word.
Our languages aren't that different.

Oh boy, good ol' dictionary. You're ok then.

I don't plan on moving there, I just want to learn it, seems like a hard language to learn

if I post in here in czech don't laugh at my terrible grammar :'(
I want to learn Czech, anyone have any tips?
The best way to learn a language is to speak with native speakers daily. Which usually means moving to that particular country. Czech is mostly useless outside the Republic. Unless you're in Chicago or any other place with a large Czech minority.

There's nothing to laugh at.
Most people in our country have terrible grammar.

I know English, German, Czech, and limited amount of Russian, and Czech is imho hardest of all of these.
Feel free to learn it, it's a quite poetic and nice language, but I honestly don't think it's worth the effort.

Let me help you with a lesson one. The set of most important phrases you might want to know in Czech:
Dal bych si pivo.
Chci pivo. Teda, radši dvě.
Tak kde je kurva to zarsaný pivo?
(All three are asking for beer, with varying degree of profanity).

Agreed. Sometimes I forget some Czech words (I remember the English word for it) and I have to ask friends what it's called in Czech :v:
do czechs feel their beers should have more praise in europe or atleast as much than belgiums and germanys?
Not really.
We don't call the piss Germany and Belgium drinks beer.
Also, the more recognition Czech beer gets internationally, the less Czech beer will be left for us, and that would be bad.
beer hipsters
beer hipsters
We produce and drink more beer per person than any other country.
Literally everyone else is hipsters.
Nejlepší pivo na světě, bez debat
beer hipsters
I don't even like beer :v:
I am not all that into beer for every occasion either but
a) A cold bitter beer is the best drink to cool off with in hot summer
b) Beer is the best stuff to flush a big lunch or dinner with, mainly if it was a heavy, greasy one
No, na to, že to má být český chat, je tu nějak moc angličtiny. Docela mě překvapilo kolik Čechů a Slováků tu občas je.
Příliš moc.
