Well stephen king is officially an asshole in MY book.
One of the greatest movies I've ever seen.
Basically, [sp]This guy and his kid and his neighbor go into town after a lightning storm to get supplies to help fix their houses which were damaged in the storm. They arrive at the grocery store, and a screaming man tells them there's something in the mist. they close the door, some lady goes out, gets eaten. The entire time, people are worrying about what's outside until some crazy christian lady starts saying that it's judgement day. At first everybody thinks that she's nuts, but when she says "In the middle of the night, god will send his wrath!" (vague), a bunch of huge ass bugs come inside the grocery store and start buzzin around and shit. she gets a bunch of followers, and the lady has turned into (as described in the movie:) a regular Jim Jones. One of the 3 military guys that was locked in with them gets stabbed when they find out that he was stationed at the research base with the scientists who were responsible for everything. They throw him outside and he gets eaten. The main character and some sane people (including his son and some chick who you think he's going to cheat on his wife with) decide to run across the parking lot to the main characters 8-seater car. The crazy lady tells them "Sorry, won't let you do that lol" and everybody starts trying to kill the sane people. One of the sane people was packing, so he shot the crazy bitch in the gut, then in the head. The people backed the fuck down. They all ran outside, mos of the sane people got killed until there was 5 people left: Main character, 2 old people, Main characters bitch, and main characters son. They just start driving south and get the fuck out of dodge. They run out of gas in some field (There's still mist). They have 4 bullets from the guy that was packing. Main character shoots his son, the bitch, the 2 old people, then starts screaming because he murdered his son. He gets out of the car and starts screaming "COME GET ME". Just then, the mist clears, the military was right behind them, and they were starting to clean things up. Main character cries.[/sp]
If you read that, you'll think that it's a stupid movie, but it was actually a great movie, and mostly emphasizes what happens when you take civilization from people and throw them into the dark. They get scared.
I thought it was garbage, but I guess a few people must of liked it to it have made it to DVD.
Goddamnit I hated the ending in this movie.

I didn't mind the film. The fanatic woman was annoying as hell.
The ending I hated because of how it was, but I thought it was a fitting Stephen King style ending contrary to the short story.

I literally screamed "FUCK YEA!!!!" when [sp] the crazy bitch got shot [/sp]
The ending was awesome. I say this because although [sp]he killed everyone in the car[/sp] it only made the movie more emotional.
That's why I still remember the movie so vividly, it was emotional and it wasn't like Avatar which I promptly forgot about a week after seeing
I loved it, but the ending made me cry...and the crazy lady should of died in a worse way like being shot, then eaten.
It's a good representation of what happens when you get people huddled together in a small space, for song long, and not letting them go until they tear each other apart.
Ending was hilarious.

this was a good movie i have watched it at least 10 times the ending was good i wish it explained the back story more 5 stars up
