I've seen some Asian movies (Chinese and Japanese) and I have become very interested in seeing more Asian movies. I am not looking for anything specific, so give me some names whether the movies are old black and white noir movies, or 90s Hongkong gangster movies, or obscure horror movies or whatever. I am interested in anything as long as it's good. Maybe give me some movies that aren't all that famous, instead of stuff I'll find in a random list when looking on Google
The movies I have seen (as far as I can remember) (and I enjoyed every single one of them, you should see them too if you haven't)
Infernal Affairs 1, 2, 3
Seven Samurai
The Curse of the Golden Flower
Life! (or something, the one about communist China which was banned in the People's Republic)
The Long Goodnight
another Hongkong movie with that popular actor
some other movies I forgot
Edit:
Oh I wanted to see Battle Royale because Quentin Tarantino mentioned it in some scooby interview about his favourite movies of the last 20 years or something.
If you're into your cars, Initial D
Assembly is also pretty good but it stagnates about half way through. Maybe it was because I wasn't paying attention/couldn't tell who was who.
Tae guk gi if you haven't watched it and maybe shiri
It isn't Asian made but The Last Emperor is a really good one to watch.
I wanna see initial d
I saw the box of some movie with Tony Leung on the cover, he had a devo hair cut and was holding a hammer in his hand. Looked like some sort of grindhouse-like thriller or something. Does somebody know it and is it good?
Battle Royale
40 Japanese students are put on an island with explosive collars on the neck. by the end of 3 days, the last one standing gets to go home or else the collars kill all of them
its freaky, gorey and a good watch
Uzumaki?
Hard boiled and Killzone
oh, you already wanted to see it, my bad :P
The Taste of Tea is pretty good movie.
Brotherhood of war
The host

Shutter. It's in Thai.
Naughty Asians strike back.
Lesbo Island 3 Asian Edition
No Asian movie is ever worth seeing, except the ones mentioned by nat.
Pokemon: the First Movie
Last Samurai
I recommend Assembly, its a war film based on the Chinese Civil War and the Korean War.

It's in two parts. Also, I watched it, its amazing. Epically the 'borrow arrows from your enemies' part.

Tadanobu Asano's performance is most notable as Kakihara the sadistic Yakuza member that enjoys seeing other's in pain. He cuts off his own tongue, it's on YouTube.

It's not Hiroshima, it's Iwo Jima

You should watch Ip Man . It's really one of the best Asian movies I've ever watched, and I can honestly say that not one Hollywood movie can replicate the style and essence of it.
Here's a scene for ya, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qhPDEOYbx4
