• Computer coming out of sleep mode

Hey guys. I'll put my computer to sleep nightly before I go to bed. When I come back the next morning, It'll be chuggin away. It's not being used because I'm the only one who does, by the time I get off most people are usually asleep, and it shows no signs of usage. Why would it wake up, and what can I do to keep it asleep? Is it having nightmares???
Some devices can be set to wake the computer up from sleep, so anything really could be waking it up. Any reason why you don't just shut it down? Check to see if it ran any updates, or virus scanned, disk defragmented etc.
Go to device manager, choose mice and other pointing devices, and choose properties of your mouse/mice. Open tab called "Power Management", and uncheck "Allow this device to wake the computer". Problem (should be) solved.

You'll have to wake it up with the power button if you do this though.
Not exactly, you could wake it up by tapping a few keys.
Software too (like an AV) can wake the computer out of sleep. I have the power button on my computer mapped to hibernate. Mostly because it's hard to sleep with a bright blue tornado next to you.
This happens with my computer too every now and then I figure it was probably some program like Health Check or something reminding me that's been waking up my computer.

Health Check, computer healthcare for disabled computers
