* Any of the type 1 symptoms
* Frequent infections
* Blurred vision

* Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet

Apparently it also has quite a lot of effects on the body too.
If you have diabetes, prolonged blood sugar extremes can cause you to lose consciousness. This is known as a diabetic coma. Both very high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) and very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can lead to a diabetic coma. Left untreated, a diabetic coma is a life-threatening condition.
If your blood sugar level tops 600 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), the condition is known as diabetic hyperosmolar syndrome. When your blood sugar gets this high, your blood becomes thick and syrupy. The excess sugar passes from your blood into your urine, which triggers a filtering process that draws tremendous amounts of fluid from your body. Thats just some of the effects, but it isn't good
all i have from type 1 is extreme hunger
im good :smug:

Ha I have all but 1 of the symptoms for type 1 diabetes but I've had enough blood tests in the last few months to know that it isn't.

I got quite a scare when i noticed i had most of the first ones, and one of the second type myself, made an appointment for tomorrow just to be sure.
The only thing I have is I get bouts of dizziness (usually after eating something really sugary).
I've bolded the ones I have:
* Frequent urination (wouldn't count it though, since I'm dieting, I've replaced 'eating when bored' with 'drinking when bored')
* Unusual thirst
* Extreme hunger
* Unusual weight loss
* Extreme fatigue and Irritability (can be explained by my wacky sleep schedule)
* Any of the type 1 symptoms
* Frequent infections
* Blurred vision
* Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
* Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet (as during dizziness)
* Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections
I have two signs of type 1 diabetes
I have none of these symptoms :smile:
Just blurred vision, but that's myopia.
But a friend I have has genetic Type 1 i believe.

No Diabetes. I am extremely hungry 80% of the time though.
Well I wouldn't really say extremely.
I do, go ahead and ask all your silly questions
No and I'm lucky not to, runs in my family.
No but my dad has Diabetes. I think he has Type 2, or just Type 1, not sure.
No but it runs in my family so badly, my uncle's ex-cat had diabetes.
not even joking
I know a retarded thirteen year old boy that lives down my street with diabetes.
When I was born, my antibodies decided that my pancreas was not required; they were not successful, but now I have type one. :v:
Most people are failures at managing the content of their blood, but if you know what's good for you, you either learn, or you will suffer.
I guess not, I do urine frequently but that's about it.
My dad has the hereditary kind of diabetes, so I have to watch out.
Not to my knowledge but most people don't get it till they are older and the symptoms usually sneak up on people so they get used to the symptoms and can manage them until diabetes gives them a symptom they can't manage any more.
