If its going to be only windows 8 and above; I swear to fucking god, I shall throw satan's piss at Microsoft's "window".

If it's Win8 only, then I guess there's no need to upgrade my GPU anyway B)
Why wouldn't it be W8 only? DX 11.2 is already W8 only

DX11.1 and 11.2 are already W8-only, would be quite surprised if any of Microsoft's PC-related initiatives would be used for anything but further boosting of W8 sales.
Which is great for the suits that want to make people buy W8 before they pull the same trick with W9 and it's also great for reinforcing people that are currently planning on skipping W8 and hope W9's gonna have accumulated enough features to justify an upgrade.
Fucken directx -_-
I already lived with Windows 8 for 3-4 months. Even if I had a DX12 card, I don't think I'd move to windows 8 again.
but new cards are expensive :c
Pretty much no one is going to use it if it's not compatible with at least window 7, so I highly doubt it'll be windows 8+ only
Well no shit its going to be targeting mobile pc and console that's all the platforms it runs on to begin with.

I like windows 8.1 :v:
we don't talk of 8, however :v: that's a no no place
Can't fucking wait for OpenGL to become more standard. Maybe, just MAYBE Valve's linux push will help it along; you can bet your ass games like Metro LL wouldn't be on OpenGL in a million years otherwise.
I don't even care. How about all game devs turn logical and start including OpenGL in their games?
Did games even ditch DX9 yet?

When I said 8 I meant 8.1, I don't know why people make that such a huge difference.
I'm so glad I didn't decide to upgrade very recently like I had planned

why? 8 isn't worth buying for the price that it is but it's better than 7 undeniably, I don't even know why you'd downgrade if you already have it...

I was on 8/8.1 for 3-4 months and I found it slowed down my work a calculable amount. I found it a pain to do the most mundane things. I even got a free copy of 8 from a friend which I then moved to 8.1.
Unless MS made a patch to make Windows 8 work exactly like windows 7 except for the under-the-hood enhancements like new window management or performance, I can't see myself ever going back. I'll wait for windows 9.
Please work on Windows 7.
