• Computer Freezes While Playing Games

Soo, I've gone two months without computer issues, having them again now. Oh how I envy people with computers that don't shit on themselves every few months. Anyway, just browsing, not playing games is fine. About 20-30 minutes of playing a game, the computer will seemingly freeze for a short moment, my monitor loses signal. Sometimes you'll still get functioning sound for 20 seconds (but if you're on teamspeak, you can't talk back or anything). My fans are still running in the computer. Can post specs if needed. I've already done a chkdsk /f last night.
Post specs, also download HW monitor and post the max temperatures you get after 10 minutes of playing a game.
AMD FX-4100 Sapphire 2GB HD 7870 Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB ASRock 970 Extreme4 Motherboard HyperX Fury 8GB RAM Specs off the top of my head, I can get the full list if you need it. Will post back with temperatures (though my sensors look to be broken - I don't think something in my PC is 127 degrees celsius)
Have you tried getting a computer that isn't using 2005 specs?
Seems like a driver issue. Try running DDU, it deletes the GPU driver, any left overs like registry values and files. You'll need to use Safemode for it to be effective though. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379505 After that re-download the drivers for your GPU.
If it's only happening while gaming(high stress for computers) and is accompanied by the monitor losing signal, I'd suspect something videocard related. First thing I'd do is run a stress test, not a game. Furmark or something similar, and monitor GPU temps. See if you can identify what temp triggers the issue. Also, see if your GPU temps are in the acceptable range for your GPU. Thermal paste or thermal pads don't last forever. Maybe removing the GPU heatsinks and reapplying such will fix your problem. Alternatively, if your PSU is going out and can't supply the necessary power, this might cause the problem.
Alternatively, if your PSU is going out and can't supply the necessary power, this might cause the problem.
I was going to say something like that. I've had a failing PSU from a hand me down system that I've rebuilt back in the day. The fans can still operate with little power, but everything else can't sustain power because the PSU simply cannot hold.
