Isnt this what the say with the PC version for every iteration of COD?
I think this year there's a renewed energy around the PC, throughout this entire title, both at Sledgehammer and Raven. We really believe this is the year where the PC is going to excel. This is the year that we're going to give it our best shot to win the hearts and minds of the PC community."
Yeah I really can't see this game on PC excelling when the general consensus of the game is largely negative in the first place combined with how small the playerbase for CoD is on PC, even for the good ones.
Give me a compelling campaign comparable to Modern Warfare 1, charge normal price(59.99, none of this 79.99 and up garbage), release comprehensive modtools, and you have my dollar. That's all I ask, Activision.
Put crossplay with one of the console versions or i wont even consider buying it tbh
Won't happen, console players are consistently annihilated by pc players any time crossplay has been a thing.
I was hoping they would make a WW2 game similar to battlfield with large scale battles either like 20v20 or even what battlefield does with 64 players. I'm sick of this 5v5 / 6v6 shit in these fast paced games. Apparently the 42 player mode is just that camp thing.
Not doing a good job at it
Put crossplay with one of the console versions or i wont even consider buying it tbh
You might as well just say "Xbox." We know it's not gonna be crossplay on PS4
Add mod support like BO3(preferably on day 1 instead of more than a year later) and maybe PC players might be more interested.
They weren't even able to do crossplay between UWP and legacy Win32 players on the same OS platform
Cross play has proven to be immensely easier to implement than people seem to believe.
I just want them to at least put in the same amount of effort into the PC version as Infinity Ward did in Call of Duty 4
I've only played an hour or so of the beta but it runs incredibly well, far better than the previous few CoDs.
Mostly negative reviews already, wow
If they do what Treyarch did with BO1 and BO3 and release a modpack (and a map editor like they did for BO3), you'll do it easily + server browser
Maybe if you are deploying something with UE4 like most games that have Crossplay do, not your inhouse engine
The netcode is most certainly completely different at this point, but id Tech 3 supported PC/Dreamcast crossplay with Quake 3. Only caveat was that PC players had to install a mappack of the Dreamcast version's maps
