I'm looking to buy a new comp for 400 or less. What I'm looking for CPU, at least Quad Core, RAM, 4-8gb GPU, 1gb and a Mobo I have a ATX/MicroATX case, 500watt PSU, sata DVD-rom, and sata HDD, already. This is what I already have picked out: Mobo - Some ASUS Mobo thing that does things CPU - AMD Phenom II x4 970 RAM - 4GB G.SKILL DDR3 GPU - GIGABYTE GTX 560Ti Total: 465.29USD with shipping, plus 30 dollar mail-in. Thanks Overv
Thats quite alright, you could for like 20 bucks more go for a 560ti tho. Do you have a powerful enough powersupply?
The best computer I could come up with ended up at $455, and while you have got the Mobo, GPU, RAM, and CPU you're still missing the case, Optical drive, hard drive, the monitor (unless that's not including in your budget) and your keyboard and mice.

Including monitor(s) and keyboard/mouse. While their cheap, I still don't have to worry about upgrading them for a while. Although if absolutely necessary I could probably buy a new one as well. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline] Idea 2: [del]Includes PSU[/del], decided to buy without, and purchase the PSU later if I actually need it. Changed CPU from Phenom II x4 955, to 970, Changed GPU to GTX 560, Changed 8gb RAM to 4gb. Total 460, 430 after rebate. Such brands will usually turn into an IED when you start putting them under load.

It's nearly 2 years old at this point. I'm deciding it would probably be a good idea just to buy a new one just to be safe and not have to scrounge up more cash afterward.
